Having a timer on these missions just makes them frustrating, and impossible for 99% of the player base. The jumping puzzles make it even more annoying. Every time you guys do something cool, you ruin it.

EDIT: I got it and the catalyst.👌

Nope, can't say it does. Gives you a challenge and a sense on accomplishment when you beat it. Quit crying, suck it up and play the mission. If you don't like it, don't play it
-
The timer and puzzle is what made this mission “cool and exciting”. Else it would just be another strike but with an exotic reward.
-
Appreciate the feedback on this. We totally understand that some players don't like jumping puzzles or timed activities. This experience utilized those mechanics, and many players are reporting that they enjoy it. We will continue to monitor the response. Not all future activities will require jumping puzzles or timed execution. We'll continue to create different content for different moods. Thanks!

Just imagine if the raid had a timer on it bet you all these people advocating for timers would shut the hell up

I don't care. - old
If this mom who only gets a few hours a night to play can do it, so can you. Just takes practice practice practice. I enjoyed the challenge. And here thought I could relax and dial back the grind after I earned Rivensbane last weekend. I'm like, "COOL! I did my Petras, accomplished my goals for the season. I can just grind out my other two characters to 700 for the rest of the season." Bungie said, "Hold my beer." Very pleased with this surprise. Was waiting for something like Whisper to come back. -
Lmao you cheesed it 😂
-
Well congrats. Meanwhile, my best is getting tothe first tank with 3 min to spare.
-
timer sucks jumping puzzles are awesome. especially with the switches that make it easier once 1 person makes it

Edited by puppyk1sses: 5/13/2019 2:42:07 PMSo the only cool exotics are Whisper and Outbreak? There’s over 100 exotics in the game and 2 of them are timed... unless I missed any?
-
I'm ok with the timer, l'd probably be ok with the jumping puzzles, but not together. So one, or the other but not both.
-
I agree they are tough but I love the unique zones they created. I wish they had access to the area in an untimed capacity with limited access to allow ability to appreciate the level design and maybe practice part of the level.
-
Every cool exotic mission. All two of them.
-
Pretty sure more than 1% has the fun so your numbers are flawed, besides, a jumping puzzle can be practiced and perfected. Nobody said you need to succeed at everything first try...
-
I see another problem is that even with ammo finder those suckers never drop at the right time. Many times my team failed because we ran out of ammo after beating the walkers, and then supers and ammo finally ready on the last 5 seconds.....

Edited by Hawpy: 5/9/2019 1:57:16 AM1) It's an amazing gun, it shouldn't just be handed out. Going in blind and 2-manning Zero Hour in 5 attempts with a friend is one of the best experiences I've ever had in Destiny, and I've had a lot of them. Doing The Whisper for the first time is also among them, and my first try of that mission consisted of me running around the Lost Sector for 20 minutes thinking the game was bugged. 2) The mission is a heist. The Fallen aren't just going to wait for you to catch up to them and conveniently let themselves be cornered, they planned this. As for the jumps, same idea. It's not meant to be easy and the enemies aren't going to make it easier for you. The entire MO of this one is sneaking in, to an extent. As much as I'd love a guns blazing smash-and-grab, that's not what either of these missions have been about. 3) It isn't even difficult. The more times you do the mission, the more you'll learn the jumps and will breeze through them. For the first clears of The Whisper, even finishing it was an achievement. Now it's easily doable in half of the allotted time because people know where to go and what jumps to make. 4) To say "Every cool Exotic mission" is just wrong. Were you timed for Thunderlord, The Last Word, Wish-Ender, Ace of Spades or Malfeasance? Nope.

The physics in this game are wack.
-
Part of the equation is the expense of introducing new variables in gameplay. Having a proven set of malleable code has a certain 'flow' when programming; so going too far beyond the established norm creates multiples more of a workload than just mere additional coding.
-
99% of the player base?? I don’t think you understand percentages. Congrats on getting it though! I’m sure doing it with unlimited time helped cheer you up.
EDIT: I got it and the catalyst.👌
You cheesed it to get the catalyst.......

Platforming has always been a thing in endgame Destiny content. Disappearing platforms in VoG Warping ships and ledge boopers in King's Fall Underbelly and kinda Gauntlet in Levi Ascendant realm in Last Wish Wall boops in Shattered Throne The list goes on. I think it makes destiny unique as it gives it a throwback feel to old school video games.
-
Ah yes, how dare they make challenging quests. The timer in these is great and the mix of platforming and difficult adds makes it much more rewarding
-
imagine stating facts that are not facts.
-
Well at least you got to try it and get bummed out by the timer and jumping puzzle...all three of my characters must offend the bungie God's, because I have tried everything to start quest including do it with a clanmate to get through door , still not available to me, went as far as wiping destiny and doing fresh install....not able to start outbreak prime quest.... pretty sure bungie has decided some players aren't getting the quest...
-
Just a SMALL suggestion...why not lfg and find a group to help you complete the activity rather than telling bungie that it ruins the experience J/s. harder tasks are ment to be done by a team/clan. Find a group or clan to help out

I feel like OP cheesed it 😁😁😁 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀
