People still get to post what they want to.
-
Including roleplay on non-roleplay posts.
-
why should you post roleplay on non roleplay posts? it's rude
-
Don’t ask me, I don’t do it. But people should be allowed to post what they want, within reason. If you don’t like the rp, just ignore it.
-
What defines within reason?
-
The Code of Conduct.
-
What makes the code of conduct reasonable when common sense is not?
-
By being the rules.
-
so rules are always reasonable?
-
Most of the time.
-
That still doesn't tell me why the CoC is reasonable when common sense isn't
-
It doesn’t really matter if they are. They’re the only rules that apply to the forum.
-
you still said "within reason" and i will go back and rephrase my question, What is wrong about asking people to let people RP on RP posts and to ask people to refrain from RP on nonRP posts?
-
You can ask people to refrain from posting RP. On your specific posts. Otherwise, let people post what they want.
-
i am not forcing anybody to do anything. this vote is wether or not it becomes a forum policy. the only people enforcing it are the voters
-
yeah, so people have to respect others wishes, this is an essential aspect of society. Which should be in place regardless of the bill.
-
If someone explicitly asks for no rp on a particular thread, that’s different, but as a general rule there’s nothing wrong with it.
-
following that logic. why can't we specifically designate certain posts as RP posts so that the people don't have to go down every comment and ask them to stop
-
Because more people agree to allow RP than people that don't.
-
da fuq. are you only looking to make trouble here?
-
No, I'm looking to defend my stance on the subject at hand.
-
but your stance earlier wasn't the stance now. it just seems like you want to be inflammatory
-
My stance before was I don't agree with it. My stance now is I don't agree with it.
-
Again; as long as it’s within the CoC people should be allowed to post whatever they want, wherever they want. If within a specific post someone asks to refrain from a certain topic, than on that post that topic should be avoided, but otherwise there’s nothing wrong with it.
