The time travel that intertwined with the past films were genius imo. Loki is in his own timeline now because Disney is making a series with him starring in it. Gamora got dusted since she was in Thanos’ other timeline. Captain Marvel, or should I say Brie Larson, is controversial right now. Marvel isn’t too happy with her comments from what I’ve been reading.
I don’t know if anyone noticed this but the scene when Captain Marvel grabs the gauntlet, all the hero’s around her were women that lead the charge. This isn’t a bad thing by no means, but bringing politics into films can be.
Anyways, it was good. At first I was disappointed by the post credits scene/sound. But once I understand what it represented, it was a genius homage to the film that started the MCU, Ironman.
Captain Marvel, or should I say Brie Larson, is controversial right now. Marvel isn’t too happy with her comments from what I’ve been reading.
Smart move for the plotters in the Marvel movie-verse would be to let that cool down and instead of involving her in the next Guardians movie, have Nova/Nova Corps. Plus it'd be a nice jab from Marvel's galactic police force at DC for their horrifyingly bad Green Lantern movie. Honestly, I'm not sure where Marvel should go after here. You can only save the world so many times before it begins to get a "meh" reaction. Part of me would love more "street level" stuff (Daredevil, Moon Knight, Punisher), but I feel like those stories are better told in a serial format. Maybe a lesser known title is what needs to be done (Nova fits that), Ka-Zar would be kind of cool (but risky), Black Knight would be a solid choice (potential Dr. Strange tie in maybe?) and The New Mutants could be fun, but probably better as a serial. And why in the names of Kirby & Lee can't a decent Fantastic Four movie be made?

They definitely need to let her out of the spotlight for awhile. What you mentioned would be a good idea. No idea what Marvel really has up their sleeves since they're so tight lipped. The cosmos is where Marvel is going next. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Thor: Ragnarok, and Captain Marvel have already explored that. Galactus, Adam Warlock, the Silver Surfer are coming, I think! Disney has the rights to Fox now. So inevitably Xmen will be coming. Which I look forward too because of the Phoenix Force done correctly. We'll get Fantastic Four AND we will see what happens with Deadpool.

The cosmos and X-men gets you the Starjammers, they were always more fun than Guardians. Honestly though, I'm waiting for more indie stuff to hit the screen. Hellboy, and Spawn ages ago seem to be the only standouts. I'd love to see a great Grendel (Hunter Rose) made, but I know that in all likelihood it would be a complete shitshow that missed every mark. My highest hope is for The Goon to get made. I think it would be an absolute blast! There's a teaser for an animated version from years ago, and it seems like the whole thing is stuck in development hell, but I'm hoping for live action, not that I have a single thing against animation. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, people need to pull the stick out if their ass about thinking animated movies are just for kids.

I just love how large Marvel is. There is so many stories to tell! I'd really love for Marvel to do a origin film for a villain. Like Dr. Doom. I mean, he did kill Thanos once... (Dr. Doom is my favorite villain.)
