Lol @ people getting mad at this nerf.
Why the hell are you playing a looter shooter, from BUNGIE out of all devs, if the nerf of literally 2 guns out of 480 is going to "push you away" from the game to the point of not even playing it?
Just use another gun. There are plenty of fast TTK weapons out there. "But muh bungie doesn't respect my time and effort!!!" Well duh, you should've gotten used to this theme by now with the enhancement core misery, the constant power cap raises to further pad out playtime and frustrate players with forcing them to chase an arbitrary number, and the despicable, utter low effort nothing they release with every "content" drop.
Of course, I'm not saying that this is necessarily the direction that they are supposed to go in, changing it to a 150 and everything, but come on....2 guns?
All these 2 guns were, are dick expansions. Everyone was flailing it around saying they worked for it, and that it's "Muh achievement", but honestly, it's just 2 more handcannons, with "I got a big e-penis" decal'd on their sides.
No sane person cared about somebody else having it, and the sensible ones just said "gj" and carried on.
"Hurr, you're just a troll account, I stalked you through and through!"

I think some people are missing the point of the nerf , not claiming that they where not difficult to earn, they are and where and will continue to be, the issue that bungie is claiming , is that it's an incredibly easy gun to proc it's pinniccle trait , therefore making it even more devestaing in the hands of really good players .. so essentially I think what is lost here , is the weapon should be very very powerful, but also very very difficult to use as well , it should require high skill to use effectively .. Think of the broadsword, it is a difficult weapon to use, it requires skill, awareness and set up, but once a player gets good at using it , it can dominate in the mid range .. I.E with Luna , it takes skill to aquire , but then less skill to use .. so IMO pinnacle weapons should require skill to obtain, and then even more skill to wield effectively , and once this happens that player should wreck .
-
This makes sense
-
Pretty much this. I've had this conversation with Adam below, that it should dominate, but not in the way of being crutches for every non top-tier player who picks it up. It should be difficult to earn, and difficult to use as well. I'm not jealous of people who have it, aside from the fact that they represent D1 designs, so I kind of want them, because D2 designs look god awful, but I'm perfectly content with me not having them, especially since I don't play PvP, and I'm very well aware that I don't have the skills/patience to get them. Regardless of this, they were initially broken, because they were too easy to use, even in mid-tier hands. This adjustment will only hurt those who used it as a crutch, top players will still wreck with it, just like with anything else.
-
I can agree with this, I mainly disagree with the principle of the idea of a nerf but I can agree with what you’re saying.
-
Right , the quest steps to obtain these weapons should be training and reflect on how the pinniccle trait should be proc'ed .. IMO reaching rank of fabled should be removed , but participation in competitive should be required for progress , and in it's place steps should be added to highlight map awareness and set up , so players that complete the quest line will be better equipped to make use of the weapon and those who skip it will just have a junky weapon that ends up in the vault .. much like D1's First Curse .. that gun in the right hands was devestaing

Edited by Gigafloh: 4/27/2019 5:58:47 PMThere is no other form of accomplishment in Destiny PvP than the pinnacle weapons. No league system or in-game leaderboards. Of course it's nonsense to be proud of a digital weapon but since there is no other goal to achieve, the PvP community is alienated if Service Revolver will suddenly be the better weapon. Especially since this announcement is made at the same time as this horrible event, that showed BUNGIE doesn't care anymore about creating a competitve experience and their Halo heritage, but just about appeasing the majority of players, who are casuals and/or PvE-onlies.
-
Unfortunately, that's on Bungie, not being able to create a compelling and balanced experience. It makes sense to appeal more to the PvE crowd, as they are much more in numbers, but it baffles me how they can't create a proper sandbox and world around PvE AND PvP at the same time. But again, this isn't the Bungie that created Halo. This Bungie has nothing to do with that anymore, the only thing that remained is the name. Almost everyone either left, was swapped out, or left with 343 to stay with the Halo team. What you're seeing here today is the vain attempts of indie-tier developers and leaders who don't even know what, where, and how Destiny is supposed to be.

Those guns took effort to get dude. They hava a right to be upset over the nerf to them
-
Read my post again.
-
I did and it makes no sense
-
Your mental inabilities are not my problems.
-
Nah dude im fine. Your post has no logic whatsoever
-
Also you dont get to tell people what people should use in pvp. People are gonna use whatever they want to whether you like it or not
-
Then use NF and Luna after the nerf. If you would be able to comprehend words, you'd be able to tell where the counter-argument is for "muh effort and time". Get used to it. It's Bungie. Have no worries though, as people who are mentally challenged more often than not enjoy special privileges anyway.
-
There is no counter argument for effort and time dude. It took sacrifice to get those weapons. These nerfs are killing the game making no reason for people to even play the game
-
There are more people leaving the game because of them than people that use them that is one thing bungie looks at. If anyone uses the same load out why make other guns just give everyone those 2 and get rid of the rest another thing bungie I’m sure looked at on top of paid recoveries and the list goes on. The balance of loadouts are out the window now
-
Maybe a case for making other weapons viable then?
-
I honestly feel that way like they are trying to bring importance to other weapons and setups and get people to rely on other things but only bungie knows why they are doing it
-
Yea. They have a weird way of trying to get you to use other weapons tbh
-
Lol "Sacrifice" "Killing the game" If 2 gun nerfs kill the game, then the game wasn't good to begin with.
-
I dont play pvp often but i do respect people who grinded to get to fabled and legend for those guns. Those guns deserved to dominate dude. If other weapons were viable people wouldnt complain as often but alas bungo is allergic to buffing most things in this game
-
Do they deserve to dominate to the point where it's a crutch for mid-tier players? No. It doesn't matter if a high-tier players wields it or not, they would whoop our ass anyways, so that's a no-brainer, it's supposed to give them an edge though. If you really are devoted to a single gun in a game that much, that you would put up with this absolutely ridiculous grind, then that's your own problem, and I have nothing to do with it. But you should've seen it coming a mile away, that it's going to be nerfed. The PvP matches consisting of literally 4 guns is not fun. Especially in a looter-shooter. The second part actually is a very valid argument, buffing other guns to it's level, but 1.) That would make Luna and NF less special, just like nerfing them. 2.) If you buff everything every time something a little more OP comes out, that's just power creep, and it would destroy the game the other way around. So Bungie needs to find a very fine balance (Which I doubt they are capable of, or care enough to do so.) Luna and NF are supposed to be unique, not OP. With the perks, they are uniqe, now they were just simply balanced. But since it's just a simple change to 150 from 180 rpm, with NO archetype changes, advanced players were pacing the gun like a 150 anyways, so it won't really affect them. The only people actually crying about the nerf, are mostly people who used it as crutches.
-
Yea they do deserve to dominate particularly the not forgotten bc they were the most difficult to obtain. As far as people using them as "crutches", you cant tell people what guns to use
-
Jesus, you're denser than the sun.
-
Nah dude you dont get it
