"committed player base" you mean the people stacking into QP with Dust Rock, LH/NF, and Wardcliff? Good Riddance.

In that case the answer is to nerf Dust Rock and Wardcliff not the pinnacle weapons that are there for the achievement. An achievement should be worth something, if not why play? In general the people -blam!- aren't using these as a crutch...common sense dictates that if they achieved them, they don't need a crutch. Also...if they were paid for the users, in that case, won't be very effective because these are not easy weapons to use, they take skill.
these are not easy weapons to use, they take skill
Seriously? How is it hard to use a LH/NF. I got my LH two seasons ago and it is the easiest HC in the game to use. It has no recoil, doesn't require shot-pacing, and maintains in air-accuracy. I can't even find a single game in your last 25 played where you used a hand cannon that wasn't a 180rpm. If 180's are so hard to use, then why do you never use 140's or 150's? https://destinytracker.com/d2/profile/psn/JalapenoStu

How hard is it, for me? Pretty hard, I'm not good at cruicible, as you can clearly see. I was using the best guns I had available to complete the quest, which required hand cannons, which seems clear enough. I found the higher powered guns (lower rpm) to be too difficult for me to use effectively due to recoil/bloom on console. Which is why I went for Luna's... Congrats on your achievement, you won't see me hollering for a nerf.

We need skill based match making badly. I just leave games when matched like that. Even in Gambit. F that
