Bungie has already stated that duplication protection will only apply to one character, so they suggest just sticking to one character to ensure completion. Of course, the weekly XP buff won't be extended, so if you want to acquire the 9 total engrams you would have gotten with the XP buff by playing all your characters, you'll have to spend silver to acquire the engrams. Totally not a sheisty solution and obvious cash grab.
