You gotta love the "lets argue" posts.
It really wouldn't affect me in any way. I dont care what happens to cores. I just want to see Bungie stand their ground because, if I can get my main to 700 with a few different loadouts and still have 110 cores and 56 Finest Matterweave with no exploits, and while still trashing 2/3rds of all my scrapper bounties, anyone can.
It's not a core problem, it's either a mismanagement of resources or an "I dont want to do that" problem.
Managing resources are skills people need in real life. If they are going to waste a bunch of time in a video game, they might as well be learning something useful.

This is the best point. Everyone loves to blame Bungie for "ruining the game," but they ignore that most of the changes employed by Bungie were asked for by the community. Bungie needs to stand their ground and tell the whiners that they can't get whatever they want just by crying like schoolgirls.

I remember the forums alive with "theres no meaningful grind" posts in Destiny's early days. It would be funny if Bungie started pulling those out and said "see, a large part of the community wanted this"

It’s less “let’s argue” and more “reveal your motivations”.

Aabra ka dabra! My motivation then would have to be seeing people learn a skill other than pushing buttons on a controller! "Sure you can PvP, but do you have 150 Cores?" Haha.

Have you considered that maybe people play video games to escape management in real life, and core management on top of life management isn’t fun?

I have, but have people who feel that way thought that Destiny might not be their style of game? Destiny has always included currency management. What games are out there that are 100% pure fun with no management systems in place?
