It just pisses me off that people actually find ways to defend this piece of shit system. They are either 1) children who haven't played video games that much or 2) blatantly ignorant of how video games should be designed. I am not a developer, but as someone who has played games all my life(and games like Destiny) it pisses me off that this system exists. It doesn't matter if it works for me or other people just fine, because at the end of the day, this system is objectively bad for a game like Destiny.

Wasn't talking to you but okay. Bye I guess ;)
-
It's quite possibly the most unbelievable thing to ever see in a player base A net + change is opposed for...some reason, idk, they don't actually tell you, just suggest you're the one at fault and that it isn't that bad.

Edited by SpLiX74: 4/25/2019 4:56:22 PMThey have changed currency nomerous of times since D1 launched. Everytime ppl grind up a big amount they change the system. IF ppl find a way to stack up easely they patch. It has always been like this and will continue to... Remebmer... Glimmer Shard and energies Mote of light Class specific armour peices How to infuse gear over Claes Silver needles The list goes on....
-
The problem is, that those things you listed, in D1, were expanded upon. Glimmer barely changed, besides the amount of items that require Glimmer being spent, and the fact that the cap was increased in D2. Motes of Light became easier to get, but were used more often and were evolved to be used to quickly gain experience towards gear. Infusion was a thing since HoW, with the Ascension system. It grew to a core system in TTK, and was further improved in the April Update. Hell, it was so good, that it transferred from TTK into RoI, and into the base game of D2 for two whole expansions. Class items were cosmetic only and, shader-proof until TTK and RoI, and were further improved with the first ever Exotic variants, and Chrome. Strange Coins came from being overly plentiful, but only available to a select few activites, to being more rare but available in more activites. You get the point. Infusion went from being a system that was completely fine, and loved by the majority of the community, to a system that half the community despises. You're right. Systems do change. But, just because the system is used to its fullest extent doesn't mean that it is patched. The Infusion system never needed a patch.
-
The infusionsystem sid not get a patch, it was remade. So, still what people complain over the mandatory grind that's needed and when people find a way to progress faster than Bungie intended they change the rules.
-
The hell are you talking about? People were not progressing faster than intended. That was never the issue at all. This system was in place since TTK, was transferred into RoI, and then brought into D2 with the entirety of the first year. They changed it because, at the summit, a "hardcore" player said they wanted meaningfull infusion, and then Bungie, being the autists they are, decided it was a good idea to listen to that shill. You are right, it was remade. But, it was remade in the worst way possible, and the fact people defend it is just baffling.

Edited by SpLiX74: 4/30/2019 8:14:36 PMI think we are on the same team but I might come thruugh unclear as english is not my native tounge. I have ranted before about new currency being introduced over and over making the old worthless all the time. I like the gane I like to level my first character. But damn am I boored to run everything 3 times to unlock content for each class. To grind tons to unlock every weapon to be able to compare and choose a favotite. The first gear you unlock tends to be what playes as I dont have the hours to spend grinding for it all. I dont defend a system that favors all day twitchers, I favor a game fir the masses witch might have content struggling for as long as the loot does not brake the game for everyone else. Now, instead of removing cores it seems Bungie will make it Ester to get them. That is hopefull..

Edited by Necrogen: 4/25/2019 1:47:02 PMThis subject has been beaten to death. It will not change anytime soon. the devs said over 10+ times NO. Its time to accept it and move on. The only problem here now is the players ego and sense of entitlement thinking if they puff their chest up enough they will scare the devs. This does not break the game. People just find it annoying. It is not hard to level up your gear as it is always trying to top you off. I find multiples of the same pieces all the time and just use glimmer to infuse it. I go to spider and get 3 by default per day, do scrapper bounties as they are fulfilled by doing things anyway, dismantle legendaries I don't want, using my matter weaves killing units and getting them as random rewards ranking up in PvP. The difference is that you guys want to not commit to it anymore cause it's boring. Well then, as someone who claims to play video games all their life, if you're bored of one game go play another. We bought a license to play their game that can be changed over time, not a seat in their inner Court demanding change. Godspeed on letting go. I've done all I wanted to do in D2 and am now playing other games. When the next thing comes about, I finish that and move on. That's what it feels like to be caught up in endgame. Even if you aren't maxed you can still find everything and do everything. Come the next expansion the game levels you past 700 anyway and BOOM there to go! So who gives a flying f#$k??
-
You are right. The developers themselves won't fix it. But, I beat you to the punch. I deleted all of my main characters, with all of my gear, and I deleted the game from my PS4 about a month ago I think. Beat you to it ;)
-
Umm okay? Mine will stay in my 2TB PS4 because I bought D2 and will play it at my leisure....if you are truly done with D2 then why are you here complaining? Move on and do something else.
-
Why do you guys ask such easy questions? Whatever I guess. 1) I am not complaining. Last time I checked I didn't even go over why I hated the Enchacement Core system. I simply went over the dumb-fűcks who actually like it. 2) I still talk about Destiny because it is one of my favorite games of all time. I have dedicated more effort and time into D1 than most people and have played since 2014, because I loved it. It pisses me off that Bungie -blam!-ed over D2 so bad that the only way to fix it was deleting the game. Hell. I went back to D1 just to help new players and level new characters and was, again, reminded on how much better that game was compared to D2. 3) Btw I don't see why you commented that little "umm okay?" as a sarcastic retort. I said that I quit because of the fact that you said that people who don't like it should just move on. I moved on, and will only come back when the Core system is fixed. What else do you want?
-
I didn't say to uninstall it. Easy questions? You prove how much you waste your own time by stating this I love destiny I complain about destiny and it bothers me I'll uninstall it I'll come back to it later That above? Is a waste of anyone's time to discuss because no matter what? Anything you complain about will be for nothing because at the end of the day you'll come back.

Anything you complain about will be for nothing because at the end of the day you'll come back.
Did I say that you told me to uninstall it? No, I didn't. You said that people who don't like the game should just move on. I moved on, and that meant for ME to uninstall it. I never regretted it. Also, how much of pretentious douchebag do you have to be to think that this game has a grip on me like an addiction, to think that I will come back no matter what? Don't get ahead of yourself. This game isn't good enough for me to "come back no matter what". Also, do I need to slow down or something? Fine, I will break it down so it is simple to understand. I loved Destiny, therefore I will complain about certain problems it has as to hope that it gets fixed at one point. But, in Destiny 2, my main problem never got fixed and never will for a while, so I deleted the game. But, I will come back once it gets fixed(aka when Destiny 3 comes out possibly). Better?
-
This is hilarious. 🤣 Uninstalls the game moves on and anxiously waits for changes to be made so he can step back in then figures out everything was deleted. Godspeed
-
Well I bet this shit ain't gonna be fixed until D3 so I guess I might be good.
I'm gonna miss my Ikelos shotgun tho. RIP trench barrel.
-
I’m 18 and I know a shit system like this isn’t how a game should work. Infusion has been a game feature since Taken King and now they jack things up? Come on man.
-
I wasn't attacking you. I was in support of you. I was just making a comment about the people who DO support it.
-
No yeah I totally know what you were going for. I was expressing that even at my age I’m well aware of how dumb this system is lmao
-
Ah okay. Just making sure XD.
