I've spent over 100 and still have more than I started with.
80 of those cores could have been bought from Spider at 2 cores a day.
Also there is absolutely no reason to infuse every piece of gear to max level immediately, this is what Bungie means by meaninful choices.

Bungie meant you should play something meaningful...
-
Yeah, if you don't like grinding you shouldn't play looters.

Enhancement Cores were added 4+ years after Destiny was created. Infusion has been there and working just fine long before Masterwork or Infusion Cores were added. See it for what it is...
-
There was no infusion when Destiny launch, like other lot games you had to use what you found and the best gear was in the Raid. Destiny is still the easiest grinder out there. When infusion was introduced it wasn't 1 to 1 light level. By the end of D1 all progression grind was removed from the gsme which set up the awsome casual D3 we got at launch. D2 lost most of its players because the grind was gone.

Changing currency is not new content, nor is it grindable content, until now. You can justify it, your choice, I do not...
-
This other guy would honestly eat charred bungie staff turds if they said it was a "meaningful choice"
-
That isn’t necessary to get your point across, really. We are having a clean and respectful conversation. Try to keep it that way.

Grinding currencies is part of every loot based game and has always been part of Destiny. Never said new content.
-
I understand your position but I paid an annual pass for new content and got changed currency and old gear instead. That is why I quit. With 10000+ hours in this game over 4+ years, I know what a grind is. Changing currency is not new content and I paid for new content.

The renamed the cores they've been part of infusion when Forsaken launched. There plenty of new content for 11 dollars a season.
