The taken clawing onto her back is doing her no favors.      "Get [i]off[/i] of me!"      In a heartbeat, the creature is flung over the hunter's shoulder and slammed into the ground.      Shadow's ghost chirps in approval, hovering at her shoulder. "You've got some titan in you."      Her breath rattles in her chest from the force it took to accomplish this. She casts a very sarcastic glance at him.      Shadow struggles to unlock the door blocking her way out of this wretched place. Her amor is battered, and her connection to Eris is still weak.    To make matters worse, her curious ghost begins scanning another door.      "The fallen left their dirty fingerprints all over this door. What were they doing here? We just missed them."     "Who cares?" Shadow gasps, blood dripping from her mouth, drained from her ordeal in the Chamber of Night.    "Well... I'm picking up a fallen distress signal."      He realizes his mistake too late. Shadow whips around, eyeing the now open door.     He knows that look all too well. "We... we're going to follow it.. aren't we..."      Shadow has already raced ahead.      "Yeah... yeah we're following it."      Shadow works her way around curiously, observing what appears to be a fallen ketch. She steadies her breathing. Variks might want to hear about-      Static cuts through her comms.      "Guardian."      Shadow's heart nearly leaps out of her chest. [i]Variks![/i]      "This is Variks."      [i]Like I don't recognize your beautiful voice...[/i] She smiles to herself.  "Variks..."      He rumbles quietly. "Detected signal. Detected [i]you[/i]."      Shadow's stomach floods with butterflies. [i]Does he keep track of where I go?[/i]      "Ketch out of Fallen hands. Watch your back."    Energy floods back into Shadow's veins. "Yes sir!"      Her ghost chirps indignantly. "Oh, you listen to Variks when he tells you to be careful, but not me?"      He creates a sound of irritation as she races ahead, ignoring him.      Shadow briefly wonders if her ghost has picked up on things by now. However, it wasn't a conversation she wanted to have.      She pauses. "Oh, Variks, I actually have some information for you."      She begins downloading pages from Toland's journal.      "[i]Shadow![/i]" Ghost hisses at her furiously, looking like he'll burst into flames any moment.      "What?" Shadow objects. "It's only about the hive, it's no big deal."      Variks chitters curiously. "Thank you. Shall find this information most useful."      She smirks, puffing her chest proudly. She ignores the outraged, cold blue eye of her ghost.      Shadow loads her handcanon. "Alright, Variks. Guide me."      She knew Cayde and Eris were probably thinking she was dead right right about now. The thought rather amused her. She'd return of course, with Eris's precious crystal, which seemed to be so much more important than her own life.      [i]Surely I have time for Variks. They won't miss me for a bit...[/i]
