Should I get Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice or Dark Souls III? This’ll be my first game of this style and I can’t decide which to get so I’m hoping people with experience can help me. I’m a fairly skilled gamer and a very patient person so I should be able to learn either with time. Thanks in advance for your help!

I heavily suggest playing sekiro before soulsborn games. I'm having a hard time playing sekiro game as an action game rather than playing it like a soulsborn. It's an adjustment to rebuild the muscle memory and break the habits I've developed playing soulsborn after all the time it took me to platinum those games, sekiro is a whole other beast.

Dark souls actually has replayability rather than just having 4 endings that barely differ from each other, you'll find yourself creating more characters in dark souls, while completing one or two playthroughs in sekiro. Dark souls will last longer because theres more to do

Edited by Psyntifik: 4/20/2019 3:04:48 PMSekiro has more playing and less pissing around with your character, is faster paced, and plays smoother. The combat in all games are satisfying, but Sekiro really is something else. Sekiro is very difficult until it clicks. Once that happens, it's just as difficult as the other games. Took me about 5 hours. I don't mind the Dark Souls games, but Bloodborne and Sekiro are leaps and bounds ahead, in my opinion.

If you have a Ps4, get Bloodborne. If no Ps4 than DS3. -
Edited by Mercury: 4/20/2019 5:00:23 AMDS3 is an easier entry point

Do you have a PS4? If so get Bloodborne instead. It’s easily their best game. If not then Dark Souls 3 would be my recommendation. Sekiro is good but it’s really f*cking hard. Probably not the best game for people new to FromSoftware games. Whereas DS3 is probably the easiest and most approachable of all their games and is also just a really good game.

You should start with dark souls 1, not the remasterd version. Its backwards compatible on xbox one

I think I like dark souls 3 more since I've played through all of them so nostalgia. But Sekiro sure has the fast pace, intense combat going for it.

I, personally, had an easier time getting into the first Dark Souls. I feel dark souls 1 does a better job easing into the challenge than dark souls 3 because dark souls 3 combat is a bit faster and more active. Either way, the first area of your first souls-like game is gonna be one of the hardest areas of the game just because you haven't gotten into the rhythm of it yet. Although, once you get into that rhythm, dark souls 3 is the easier game overall because bonfires are more common and the game, while hard, often feels a bit more forgiving.

I'm slowly working (I mean dying alot) through sekiro. How many controllers do you own?😁✌

You should start with Dark Souls: Remastered

If it were me, I would start with the original Dark Souls. Then after that’s finished, move onto the sequel, then buy the third and then Sekiro.
