A weekly bounty that is rewarding one core is completely tone deaf. One core is nothing. If we're going to continue to deal with infusion costs, it is not enough. The weekly's reward should be emphasized a grand completion of a week's worth of gameplay. It should feel rewarding and emphasize a hefty reward of enhancement cores. If it's a Gunsmith's weekly package, the order of precedence in reward I currently would prefer is (descending): Enhancement Cores, Mods, Gunsmith Materials. That's not to say that Mods aren't important but there are currently other ways of obtaining them. When I pick up a weekly Gunsmith bounty, I want it to be worth doing.

  • <Sarcasm> I'm sure grinding stale 8+ month old content for 2 weeks so you can afford to upgrade one (1) item is exactly what Bungie means about "Rewarding" and "Meaningfull" about Cores... </Sarcasm>

  • Mod components are rarer than cores. You can only get mod components by dismantling year 1 weapons or pay a hefty price to ada. Cores can be bought from spider plus earn 6 per week from his bounties. You can earn 3 per day from scrapper bounties, get them from completing a weekly bounty at Hawthorne. Plus you can get countless from dismantling the right year 2 gear. Plus all the curated raid weapons/Gambit prime weapons, dismantle your duplicates that's 7 cores each. When I play a lot I probably get between 30-50 cores per week. For mod components without buying from Ada, I probably get less than 5 per week.

What's your point? Modcomponants are not needed for infusion. On top of that, you get them back when breaking up the wapon.

  • Agreed! Plus what good are mod components in this game? Seriously, they are pointless and do not work half the time.

  • I was responding to the op's list of importance. On my list I have mod components over enhancement cores. On your second point, you are correct but if you want to use that weapon or armor piece to infuse something else, you lose that mod and get nothing. Second, if you just don't want that mod anymore and you dismantle it, guess what? You only get 1 mod component back out of the 10 you spent. A year 2 weapon costs 17 cores to fully masterwork. Don't want that weapon anymore or just need the cores? Dismantle it and get a decent 7 cores back. Mods and mod components could use a boost in availability and what you get back when dismantling stuff.

  • Agreed. Beyond that there is ZERO reason to remove the scrapper bounties.

  • I’ll use ada’s bounties as an example. It takes almost the same amount of time to complete the weekly “finish 2 forges” bounty as a kill x enemies with a gun Bounty. They are giving us extra mods for the weekly, I’m sure it won’t be super long.

  • Why remove scrapper bounties at all? They give players options to grind in different ways for cores if they want to. Cheers.

Why do I feel like this is what happens to the feedback that you've passed along? Edit - That's not a dig at you by the way. I'm not one to shoot the messenger.

  • That you have to pass on the simple concept of one core for a WEEKLY bounty being insufficient someone or someones on the dev team must be really thick. In the mean time exploiters have thousands of Masepoes Cores, bravo.

  •
Will pass along this feedback. Thanks for the feedback!
Feedback? What happened to common Sense? We’re not going to do the “weekly” bounty for a few tokens. We want multiple Cores! How is this not obvious?

  • All you do is ignore the feedback. If that wasn't the case, Masterwork Cores would have been removed from infusion by Season of the Forge at the latest. You want us to believe you care about us at all? Need to prove it.

  • They threw mod components into these new bounties while everyone was mainly complaining about cores. That is a step I a good direction. Dmg & cosmo pass along when they say they are but if the devs think their solution is best then that’s what the devs do. Don’t shoot the messenger is all I’m saying.

  • I feel like minimum 3-5 cores for a weekly would be fair, depending on the objective and since there's 2 bounties. The one core feels like a slap to the face tbh. It's nice to see updates on objectives like this though. The community appreciates it.

  • 3-5 is a joke. They need to up it to at least 10 for the weekly.

  • Thank you for the feedback on my response! But seriously - At this point, I'm in the position of collecting feedback to these plans, summarizing them, and bringing them to the team. This is what I have for you now - and will give updates if anything changes between now and Season of Opulence.
