So we’re locking threads for people that talks about cores for infusion?

Is this what’s going on now? Anyone that talks about some big issue gets locked and removed? I’m not even gonna talk about it here cause it’ll get toxic and this post is gonna get removed. If this is where the community is heading, just know player numbers are gonna continue to drop if this keeps up

I don't really think they are locking/removing it because it's a big issue, the literal constant spam of those posts gets irritating and doesn't make a difference on whether or not it gets changed. Bungie KNOWS a lot of people hate it. It doesn't bring anything valuable to the game and if they wanted it to feel like it does but without cores, just crank up the cost of other materials so that people can't just constantly level, which is probably the reason why it exists in the first place. For those that respond to you in what you call a "toxic manner" when trying to...not really defend it, just not agree with it, I can understand where they are coming from. The super hardcore have dozens upon hundreds of cores because raids and comp grant so many that they are really the only ones who understandably don't feel the burn. It's not necessarily that they are being toxic, they just genuinely don't understand the struggle anymore. The casuals are the ones getting hit the hardest in this system because they don't constantly complete these endgame activities, so they get significantly less cores. It's not necessarily a bad thing to promote the endgame activities, but it's like...why does it go from raining cores to trickling? Me personally, I don't think cores do anything negative to the game, but it's very very unnecessary as it is. Having meaningful infusion shouldn't be reliant on a rare material but rather what you want to level up first. A material cost to try and heighten it just doesn't bring any benefit nor does it make it any harder to make a decision. Most people don't even switch gear anymore because of it, so the gear we see now is gear we might see forever unless something changes. When you pair this with the expense of masterworking, the game just does not end up being fun because most have to pick one or the other. Which in reality is a negative aspect to it, but it's a game and it rewards you more for playing so the players who play more can cancel out the requirement. I sometimes have a bunch of cores and sometimes none at all. The rng of it also doesn't help either. Sometimes you get a bunch quickly, sometimes you get very very little. If bungie wants to keep it as a meaningful decision, keep the core cost just reduce it to 1. 1 is easily obtainable enough while getting 2 might take an hour to get, because remember it's rng. The infusion system currently just slows down the game and it really pushes non-interchangeable load outs. I still wear pretty much the exact same armor since forsaken and rarely increase the light level of exotics I don't use. I'm even hesitant to infuse the gambit gear because eventually it will all become irrelevant. But I've also gotten to the point where I just don't even care anymore, as getting angry does nothing other than make me hate a part of the game I don't even play it for in the first place. The game just frustrates it's players to the point of not even caring, and those that do are letting it ruin the game for them even more so than the problem does. This demoralizing type of conversation on the forums pushes away anybody that wants to play the game because they hear how bad it is and honestly it's really not as bad as people make it out to be. I just play the game and slowly make my way up. I wouldn't be as fast as the super hardcore, but it's not so slow that I find it a waste of my time. This is how most people probably feel until endgame is in view. This, like I stated above, doesn't mean I like it the way it is. It's an unnecessary change that nobody asked for but got anyways. A TON of games do this kind of crap and I do not like it. I play Destiny now because I enjoy the game how it controls and plays. Light obviously prevents me from experiencing more of the game, but it's not like it's going anywhere. Nobody likes being stuck in place for progress. Bear in mind I'm not really arguing to keep it or remove it, just expressing my feelings on it.
