Looking to reduce spam on the forum, as there are many feedback topics for the game, not just Enhancement Cores.
Leaving the poll up, as it discusses a few different options. Threads that are simply copy/paste or spamming the same subject will be locked and or removed.
We all know what the easy fix would be.
Yes, we do.
The primary reason the topic persists is Bungle obstinance (no the L is not a typo).
Yeah, given how many people call Bungie "Bungle" I could connect the dots. Is Bungie (the i wasn't a typo) being hard headed? Yes. Is spamming the forum with the same one sentence response going to fix anything? No.
Squelching opinions they don't like is kind of akin to telling people who aren't with your political party not to vote.
Contrary to popular belief, Bungie deleting spam post isn't squelching opinions. If you look at the rules of the forum, disruptions (i.e. spamming the forums) are against the rules. It's not them stripping your rights away, it's them keeping some sense of order on the forums because, and I want you to follow me here, not everyone wants to have their feed spammed with "remove enhancement core" posts.

Thank you it was getting tiring constantly seeing people complain about something that's really not a big deal, it Smothers actual feedback to never get seen.
-
Oh, and another thing. Remember your post last year, where (very insightfully) acknowledged that Bungie had violated the community's trust by throwing away the lessons of Destiny1, and coming out with what was vanilla Destiny 2. Remember when you said that you would have to work to win back that trust? 1. You haven't fully done it yet. Forsaken was just a down payment. 2. What your devs are doing with this game's progression system is NOT winning back that trust. In fact their dismissing our unhappiness...while arrogantly lecturing us about their "design goals" is making matters worse....and fracturing that trust once more. Its back to "We're Bungie, and We Know what you want better than you do." I'd have thought what happened last year would have disabused them of that notion.....but apparently not. Because here we go again.....

Trying to control the flow of feedback to keep forums organized, clean, and navigable is all well and good. Ultimately though, feedback actually needs to be meaningfully addressed by the developers, otherwise the process doesn’t work. Failure to address issues in D2 in a reasonable time frame, or even to simply iterate on things like sandbox balance at a reasonable pace, has been poisoning the franchise for years. If Bungie is serious about Destiny, they need to change their pattern of behavior, and it needs to happen soon. Live games, particularly large, complex ones, need much more attention than Bungie has demonstrated. Otherwise, they flounder. Core strengths of the feel of a Bungie shooter and faith in the company due to prior work have bought Bungie a lot of free passes and patience and play hours...but those are not inexhaustible resources, and everything is wearing thin.
-
If you would actually address the issue properly, and have an actual discussion that isn't always a one-sided reply, people wouldn't spam the forums with the same topic over and over. Players made it clear that they don't like the current infusion costs with Enhancement Cores. The current solution of adding Gunsmith Bounties (while simultaneously removing Scrapper Bounties, for some odd reason) next Season may not be enough to fix the problem.

Edited by kellygreen45: 4/9/2019 4:00:12 PMOr your devs could simply fix the problem. Removing cores from the cost of infusion is a DEFINITIVE solution to the problem. Hence the spamming problem you're facing. We've been "discussing" this problem now for 6 months. It only remains a problem because your devs refuse to respect us enough to fix it. Instead they rename cores and lecture us about their design goals. As though the only problem is that we just somehow don't **understand** the materpiece they've created. Pffffttt.....

I've been getting the feeling that removing them from infusion would be too much work for them at this point and they're just being lazy rather than arrogant.
-
Right idea.....wrong spot. I think the issue is we've exceeded their ability to keep the game supplied in loot. The loot pool is simply too shallow and too homogenous to support the kind of end-game loot chase that powered the last 2 years of Destiny 1. So instead they've jiggered the game in such a way that instead of an extended end-game loot chase....we're trapped in a perpetual MID-GAME item level grind. Then we're TOLD that this is our "end-game" Which, naturally, people dont' find rewarding. Just tedious and exhausting. They don't want to fix the core problem....because if they do that....we break out of that mid-game loop....and realize that the game doesn't really ahve a genuine end-game. TLDR: Destiny 2 is having the same end-game problem that Anthem is having right now. Only Bioware is in the first couple of months of a new IP....so there is at least an excuse for this. Bungie has just mismanaged their way to this predicament.
-
I don’t necessarily agree with enhancement cores being a part of infusion, but you guys all sound like babies at this point.
-
Sorry you feel that way. If my ancestors had felt that way, I'd either still be riding in the back of the bus..... ....or walking around in chains. Fortunately, they realized that the world only gives you a FRACTION of the things you ask for....so they never stopped "asking".
-
Fix obvious issues in a timely manner That is a reasonable business practice for pretty much any business.
-
That’s a rational standpoint to have. The point has been made.
-
Maybe if you "listened" none of this would have happened
-
Here's a thought: move on to something else. Bungie already stated their stance on the matter. Dont like it? Move on to a different game. Reminds me of a child constantly screaming for icecream after someone already told them no.
-
Who made you judge, jury and executioner? Who are you to tell anyone to move on from something they paid for with their own money? Just because you eat whatever shit bungie feeds you doesn’t mean everyone else has to either agree with you and eat Bungies shit or piss off somewhere else. People have a right to complain, you can disagree with it but telling people to move on? You have zero rights for that.
-
Lol by all means keep giving bungie your time and or money after they continue to disagree with changing things the way you want them to. I too enjoy constantly going to the exact same business that continues to ignore me after months of me telling them i dont like their practices. That'll definitely show them i mean business! And what shit are they feeding me? I give 0 hecks about the enhancement core scenario at the end of day. I just find it hilarious that people insist on crying on the forums when bungie has already said their piece for months now all the way back in october. But heck maybe you guys are just too stubborn to know that leaving is another way to show that you're tired of their supposed BS and can influenced bungie to change. Granted I'm not suprised, some of you seem to lack in the knowledge department resorting odd means and petty insults to show how "serious you guys are" when speaking to someone.

More like a child continuing to ask for food at all after being harshly told to starve. My analogy = VIP Your analogy = HIV

Edited by Combo164: 4/9/2019 5:26:57 PMYou have a serious problem if you compare lack of enhancment cores in a video game to starving children in a video game
get some help
-
I guess you would have been fine with the state d2 was in its first year?
-
You really comparing the loads of issues in year to enhancement cores. Please dont try to be smart because you failed once you brought up year one. Lastly for those that didn't like year 1 guess what they did, moved on instead of spamming the same thing for months now.
-
Lastly for those that didn't like year 1 guess what they did, moved on instead of spamming the same thing for months now.
Absolutely 100% wrong. They cried like little bitches and Bungie invited them over for tea and biscuits at bungie hq to give feedback from the community they apparently represent, which is also bullshit. Bungie changed the game for them, bungie have proved they can change it, so people can’t be criticised now for doing what all the tryhards did in year 1, don’t be a moron and try to ignore that fact.
-
100% wrong. They stated their piece and moved on. Sure maybe the brought up the topic again but they didn't speak about the same thing every week in every video just like people on every forum post. The only thing that was spammed on the forums to this magnitude was remove eververse. Hell i remember back then i was telling idiots they should focus this much effort into speaking about the actual issues in the game. And guess what, no other problem outside of remove eververse and now remove enhancement cores ever reached this magnitude of being talked about consecutively for months now. And even now there are tons more issues in the game. What do people do? Just ramble on and on about enhancement cores. Lastly you're speaking about content creators. A decent amount of the playerbase dropped because people hated how year 1 was and moved to different games and haven't come back since. After all people at one point kept rambling on about how there used to be 14 million players but isnt the case now anymore. So no I'm not being selective. But nice try though.
