Lunas Howl rewards mediocre aim

Why is this rewarded with a faster ttk than guns that require 4 consecutive headshots to have their optimal ttk? Guns like Lunas and NF have no place in the current sandbox.

Why is Bungie choosing this topic to represent people's feelings on pinnacle weapons? It has 9 upvotes. I dont think this is representative at all of general feedback people have. Everyone is biased over this topic one way over another. A person on the receiving end of one wants it nerfed. A person who has the weapon doesnt want it nerfed. All of this feedback is heavily biased on experiences and whether they have or use the gun(s). If you have the weapons, you would know that hitting 2 headshots in a row is actually quite difficult against people who crouch spam or use crouch spam macros because of how hitboxes work. Please don't listen to these topics, Bungie. Not to mention, there are other weapons in the meta now that have way faster TTK and one of them even doesn't require to get headshots/crit shots.

21 RepliesDid you stop to consider the people farming you with it are the same people who farmed you with other weapons to get it? Comments like this are why such a large % of people are fine with pvp being removed. We put our effort and time in and then guns get ruined because people like yourself come here to cry about it.

2 RepliesYou do realize that the holy grail is any hand cannon that can two head, one body, or hell, one head two body. This has always been the case. The only difference now is, 180's are a thing, and don't have as many bloom issues as other archetypes. It has really demonstrated how terrible bloom is on console. If they nerf Luna/NF, they will set this place on fire, again. If they FIX other hand cannon archetypes, you'll see a large drop off of Luna/NF dependence and do a great service to the community. You people are just pushing them towards more ridiculous nerfs. Stop, please, for the sake of the game.

15 RepliesIt’s always amusing to me that people who say the Luna’s howl takes no skill to use, seem to forget it requires skill to obtain. The reason why people are so lethal with it is because of the skills they gained along the way of completing the quest line. Yes, 180s have little recoil/bloom/stupid aim assist, whatever. There are plenty other ways to counter the optimum TTK of the Luna’s howl. It just requires people adjusting there play style, which nobody wants to do.

2 RepliesI like how people say the gun takes no skill to use but forget the fact that it takes skill to get ( unless you paid for it or got carried in a team) I mean I’m going of my own experience of getting the LH completely solo for the challenge and I’m not boasting but If like to think I had the skill to get the weapon when it come out in forsaken.

Luna is objectively the weakest pvp hand cannon for competitive use when you include things like Ace, thorn, last word and more. Not forgotten IS good however, and why shouldn it be? A low population have it and they were rewarded by being better than you. Chances are if someone has not forgotten, they could use travllers chosen and still beat you, so who cares.

5 RepliesSuch an overpowered weapon that I managed to drop 32 kills with a vigi wing against a team of LH users. So overpowered that I managed to go on a 20 kill streak with a Trust while my opponents used NF and LH. It’s a great weapon, I just fail to see what makes it so overpowered.

15 RepliesIt really does I’m so tired of people saying it takes skill to use. The gun literally has no recoil. I might not have it but I have trust and all other 180s and I know for a fact I would be winning way more engagements if I had Luna’s. It’s like every time I play a Luna user I’m 100% at a disadvantage and in destinys entire life of existence you could never say that about a weapon. Couldn’t get eyesluna? Use palindrome. Can’t get grasp use clever dragon. No pdx45 use hawksaw.

3 RepliesI have lunas and not forgotten on pc and they are mediocre compared to ace and tlw, but i had lunas on console and it is pretty busted. Got 3000 kills and stopped using it because it felt way too easy as someone who has been playing destiny for years and is used to always going for headshots. I think a warranted but not weapon-ruining change to lunas and not forgotten would be nerfing perks like aim assist and reload speed, so that the guns still shine in the sense that they break the 180rpm hand cannon damage model but you really have to work for the 2 headshots due to the lower aim assist.

4 RepliesHonestly I say they should nerf stability and range on Luna’s, then make not forgotten exotic. It’s not the best fix, but I think it’s a start.

2 RepliesWhy not keep them in the competitive list only. As a well below average pvp guy it sucks to get mowed down over and over by these guns in qp. I simply don't have the time or ambition to even attempt the grind.
