The crucible has very small and loyal fan base, but to everyone else playing the game (or observing it) it’s bad joke and a total mess. Here is a list of fatal flaws: - no dedicated servers (bad game quality) - bad sandbox balance (same meta for 7 months) -bad map pool (that hasn’t increased in 7 months even though the majority of maps are designed for 4v4) -bad matchmaking (this benefits a tiny tiny percentage who become a very vocal minority) -lack of communication from the dev team - toxic mentality of the dedicated playerbase (“lets get on teams and farm fake stats with the exact same OP loadout against players who can’t even defend themselves and attack anyone who complains”) I want to see PVP improve but in D2 it’s FUBAR. Why would anyone have a reasonable expectation it will improve in D3?

  • Very small and loyal fanbase? It's almost a 50/50 split these days. This game will die fast without PvP. I wish they would just add a BR mode. Destiny's loot and classes would be a great fit for that mode (as long as they run it on a dedicated server)

It always like that unless there is a PvP quest or special event. The the population raises for it then drops back down. Even if those numbers are 50/50 (they aren’t) as long as a player plays one game of PvP for the milestone then spends 9 hours doing what they love in PVE they got counted as a PVP player. Even if they just played a game of Gambit and never went in the crucible they get counted as a PVP player by Destiny Tracker, which is a flaw of quoting it like AztecCross did in his very flawed video. The game won’t die fast without PVP. Destiny lost a bunch of its core PVP players and streamers to other gems when D2 launched. Most people who care about good PVP play other PVP games that are balanced, have good matchmaking, and dedicated high tick rate servers which Destiny never has.
