is it that bad? haven't done reckoning since first week tier 1 because i found out it was a waste of time as the armor was pointless. Other than that, been grinding old content again to get up to 700.

The armor isn’t pointless it’s for prime
-
except the tier 1 gear perks are negligible for prime. You were better off using your current min/maxed set in prime for overall performance bonuses.
-
It’s pointless compared to tier 3 armor. Tier 1 only gives you +1 to bonus set. Tier 3 armor gives you + 3 per piece. Makes tier 1 gear pretty pointless compared to tier 3 gear.
-
But you need to grind out tier 1 armor to an extent to get tier 2 and 3 plus for the first week or two it was an advantage in prime to have even tier 1 or 2 armor on.
-
it really wasn't much of a bonus, alas, i'm not telling you how to play - i'm just saying once i realized you needed to actually get the sets and not just upgrade stuff from tier one, i opted to stockpile my synths until i hit max so i can work thru tier 3
-
I didn’t find the first perk game changing in any way. It was really all just there to extend grind time. Once you’re 700 and can do tier 3, tier 1 and 2 aren’t worth playing.
-
The armour gives bonuses in prime tho
-
I mean you can get enhanced perks I think so still worth
-
if you need to get in and out for enhanced sure i guess. However the way it was presented at first, it made it seem like we could upgrade the armor so it would be higher tier. For the main purpose of gambit prime - it is pointless to get anything except the tier 3 as the gambit prime perks are barely noticeable on a tier 1 set.

Yeah I agree it felt like just farm engrams till 690 and do T3 only like me
