Infusion Cores ... A Sense of Pride and Accomplishment

EA: "The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different heroes." Bungie : "The goal of the infusion system is to create an impactful feeling of progression when you increase the Power of an item you enjoy using" If I were an english teacher I'd deduct points for plagiarism. I mean.... come onnnnnnn. People here are old enough to know what padding is. All some of us older players ever want is for a developer to be honest.
Important to note, some of us DO get it: Content is hard to make Someone made changes in the middle of development.. Twice now?.. that MASSIVELY threw off the teams timeline. It's not the teams darn fault. Artists and Programmers and Writers are paying for it with their time and energy.
But someone decided to double-down on trying to gouge money out of the community. : / There was also catering to Streamers, i PRESUME because someone felt it was important for marketing to keep D2 visible on the worlds largest streaming service. But that also sacrificed events like " worlds first" raids by intentionally locking out most of the people who would have raided in the past with an artificially raised light level. Ultimately it brings us to these things that hurt the general player base, the LARGER part of your fanbase by the way. Padding is still Padding... excessive RNG, more materials, more bounties.. more TIME. And what is being done with things like infusion cores is take up people's TIME. No one expects an even trade any more, that's the sad part, anything that seems like a change, they FULLY EXPECT something else to ramrod them in the end. Just, Stop. Please.

 • I derive a sense of pride and accomplishment in completing real world stuff - career progression, blowing up real bad guys, looking at a modest surplus 6 figure account after all the bills are paid, so I can go on a bender. Video games are like cotton candy for the mind. Achieving a sense of accomplishment/self worth from a game is pretty bleak outlook in life.
