Nightfall came to the lonely town of Enwood, Canada. All of the few survivors of The Awakening that lived in the post-apocalyptic town sealed themselves in to protect them from whatever monster, wraith, or wizard lurked around at nighttime.
Only one person stayed awake. His name was Lee, a former sheriff when Earth still had police. (Yes, Lee the Sheriff, it’s you.) Lee quietly snuck into the town’s radio station and began to operate it once inside. He turned on the power and covertly began to broadcast a signal.
“If anyone can hear this, please come to Enwood, Canada, at once. I’m forming a group of warriors to fight back against the ancient powers in our world. Repeat...”

Huge swords clashed as two armored knights fought hard against their opponent. One was an orc, large and intelligent, the other a troll, smaller but just as strong.
“Come on, PolarSkink. You can do better!” Shouted Rezyl Azzir, knocking PolarSkink’s sword away.
“Then stop jumping away whenever I slug you!” PolarSkink replied.
The two stopped suddenly when an old radio amongst a junkpile began to broadcast.
“...Anyone... come to Enwood, Canada... group of warriors... fight back against... in our world. Repeat...”
Rezyl Azzir looked at PolarSkink, who nodded back.
“Let’s go.”

Batpug appeared out of nowhere in the middle of a forest. Being a Wraith, he was capable of realm-jumping. He levitated over the grass and twigs towards a common meeting place for Wraiths in the middle of a clearing.
Once he arrived, he activated a set of runes; and a minute later, another Wraith appeared from nowhere into the meeting place.
“Artemis...” Batpug spoke in a quiet, spirity voice that all wraiths sounded like. Have you heard?”
“There are no secrets between wraiths...” she answered.
“Are you going to Enwood?...” Batpug asked.
Artemis nodded, though her formless face made it hard to tell.
The two wraiths vanished into the void of worlds, on the path to Enwood.

Assassin NWW was meditating when he heard the broadcast. Though he was mad his quiet time was interrupted, he was also glad there was finally something to do. He sheathed his two katanas and stood up, his cybernetic legs warmed up already. Stretching his chromium arms, he went to find his friend, a fellow cyborg named Toaster.
To his surprise, Toaster found him first.
“Ready to go?” asked Toaster.
“So I’m guessing you heard,” replied Assassin NWW.
“Yep. Sounds like adventure. So I’ll say again, you ready?”
———————————————————————
“Pencilsnake, get the pancakes off the fryer or I’ll turn you into syrup!” yelled Pancake Monk, the Wizard of Hungary. He was busily repairing his staff with his magical tools, and if his pancakes burned, well, that was a drag.
Luckily Pencilsnake was a reliable Wizard. He took off the pancakes and went back to work trying to repair a brand new radio that broke after Pancake Monk accidentally poured coffee on it. But at last, he got it working. They too, heard the broadcast, and set off at once for Enwood, just another lonely town in the Postmodern Frontier.
