Have not been playing d2 but hoping to check in and see it is worth getting back into.
Still appears to be broken loot in many different ways, stupid cores for infusion, and insane focus on what is likely to be one of the current worst PvP online games in both lag and matchmaking balance.
It almost looks like bungie is still deliberately trying to make d2 fail. I speculated this before the Activision breakup based on the idea that Activision would be glad to be rid of them.
Now that the split is a thing it makes me wonder what can be gained by running d2 into the ground?

It’s not worth coming back. Grind same content to get 700 light. Same bug as every content drop where power increase isn’t increasing properly(doubt its a bug at this point, on purpose to drag out content we’ve been grinding for last 7+ months).
makes me wonder what can be gained by running d2 into the ground?
freedom from the IP, apparently they cant handle such format properly , even free to play games do a better job

Also all this content is stuff that activision made with Bungie, Bungie hasn’t produced anything by thereselves yet until year 3 is when bungie will be on their own
-
Activision had their smaller studios help, I'm not sure bungie CAN make anything on their own.

This is inaccurate lol they left activision didn’t get dropped and also d2 isn’t in a bad place it’s actually doing pretty well although it has problems what your saying is not true at all

PVP is great if your in a PVP elitists clan, running stacked teams and have KD ratio that is 2.0 but for average or below average players the game is a complete garbage

Kind of liked resigning instead of inevitably fired... Player base is shriveled down to a fraction...
