Please up the drop rates of the new weapons from reckoning .. did fifteen runs and not a single drop ... With random rolls and random weapon drops if your running tier 3 you should be getting a weapons every 1-3 runs .. so we can actually get the rolls we want on the weapons before the season of the drifter is over .. even five runs without anything is ridiculous ..
And please take gambit prime powerful drop milestone and remove the old gambit gear armor and weapons .. add just the new weapons to it .. and considering we can farm the reckoning armor as much as we want.. remove it from the reckoning powerful drop ..the weapons are what we want and you have them locked behind layers and layers of rng ...
The Ada bounties gave us a decision to make for the weapon we wanted thats a great content loop .. the reckoning is not friendly to match made players .. so you almost need a group .. and you almost need certain subclasses and exotics .. so make it very rewarding for the people going to run it for the weapons ...
Cool idea poor execution on the weapon drop rates ..

Edited by Iamhiding: 3/23/2019 9:17:48 AMI plan on bumping this thing over and over till they either acknowledge the problem, or I get something else besides a damn sniper rifle AND ARMOR. ANOTHER SNIPER FROM T2! BUMP.

Do do it dude .. some of the decisions they made with dlc make no sense .. match made for reckoning is a nightmare and the weapons are almost non existent in there as well .. I have yet to get anything .. so not only do we need to farm this over and over doing it solo with a match made team isn't gonna be fun at all .. I really don't understand what they were going for with adding the old gambit armor and weapons to the gambit prime weekly powerful .. all rank up packages are the old stuff .. and reckoning weekly drops only the armor from what I've seen anyway .. and we can get the armor as much as we want no problem .. it's the weapons we want bungie ... This is what happens when they tie to different activities weapon loot pools together .. the weapons are scarce and other than the pinnacles the only thing to grind for .. well nobody wants to grind for the fun of it we wanted rewards more often than not to get the good rolls .. If you ask me reckoning should have had it's own weapon pool that are nothing like the gambit prime weapons .. and gp should have had it's own loot pool and none of then should be reskins ... So gambit prime would have had a handcannon, auto pulse and scout rifle and so on .. and then reckoning would have had a handcannon auto pulse and scout rifle ... Then give one side a rocket launcher the other mode grenade launcher .. 1 mode gets a fusion the other gets a bow etc. This what they did with black armory the raid and the forge were a merged weapon pool and I think it hurt the content .. what saved it to me is we had the ada bounties that gave us intentional grinds for specific weapons .. but what if like I said above the forges had a full weapon pool and scourge had a full weapon pool.. that's at least 8 plus weapons for both modes . If this would have been implemented with both these dlcs I think we're sitting here having a different conversation .. at least then with jokers wild we could still get weapons without feeling like we're wasting our time running reckoning and having nothing drop ..

I finally started getting different weapons from Reckoning, but it's still taking countless runs to do it. I guess this will be my endgame activity until something better comes along. Hope you're scoring some new gear.

I agree that they need to fix the drop rates, because at this rate, I'll never the weapons that I'm trying to get. I've done a few Tier 3 Reckoning runs, but only scored another sniper rifle from the drop and gave up because of the difficulty compared to Tier 2, since I'm only at 680ish. https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/azlvsl/ways_to_get_gambit_prime_weapons_curated_and/?sort=new I found this discussion though, and it talks about how the loot pools are split between the weapons. I can understand them separating them like this, especially since you don't even need to play Gambit Prime to get the weapon drops. But even still, after farming Tier 2 and Tier 3, something's gotta give eventually. I just don't know if I want to invest that much time anymore. By the time I get the weapon drops I want, the new season will be out, and these weapons will be dwarfed by weapons with new perks and better stats.

I've got the drop from the intro of gambit prime that drifter gets you .. I've got the curated shotty and the curated smg .. both of which I don't care a whole lot for ... I want the handcannon with rapid hit and multikill clip or rampage.... And I'd like the auto rifle as well ... But we should be getting drops every 1-3 runs since random rolls are in the mix and you can't grind the weapon you want .. it's at least 3 layers of rng and a very low drop rate ... That's way to much ... And there aren't to many other new weapons other than the pinnacles .. so I feel the new gp weapons should be dropping more often than not
-
I agree. I got a Bond on my Warlock for this weeks Milestone, and a helmet for my Titan's milestone. That makes nothing but shit for 2 weeks now. I'd love the SMG, but I doubt I'm ever going to get one.
-
Yea it's stupid a new activity drops the old activitys gear .. it makes no sense .. especially when you consider is an upgrade to gambit .. it should only drop the new weapons cause we know where to get the armor I wish they would add the same system with the armor to weapons .. put in a synth or something and get a weapon
-
We need a synth per weapon just like the armor and you put whatever weapon you want into the bank of reckoning and get that weapon at the end ...

Drop rates are silly considering the failure rate at T3 (even T2 can be a struggle because matchmaking is so buggy). I have played a fair amount since the season opened and I have tried to embrace what the season offers...but in some ways it feels like Bungie has doubled down on the ultra-grind and RNGeesus tropes that many players are tired of. Drop rates on new weapons are needlessly low....three enhancement cores to increase an item’s light level (after ll 680, if I recall)...forge weapon frames missing from ADA for more than a month (not cool when you consider the time and effort to unlock the forges, especially the third). What is crazy is that so many of these things are pretty simple fixes that would make playing a much more enjoyable experience. I get that they have probably moved on to D3 but I think the success of that project might be helped a lot if it started with a happy player base in D2.

I have to admit that I’m frustrated at the lack of new weaponry. I’ve played Gambit Prime and Reckoning a lot and nothing but the armor has dropped for me. Love the idea, Prime is decent and don’t mind the grind in the Reckoning, but the weapons are the cream. Love the looks, new perks are awesome, and the variety in my arsenal is much needed. Agree to taking old weaponry and armor out of rotation for the Prime weekly drop, and increasing the drop rate for the specific actions performed in Prime (like banking motes and killing invaders etc).

Bump.

Please acknowledge this ^ Bungie. I'm tired of Gambit Prime, and there's no point to Reckoning if I'm never going to get a new weapon anyways. With the amount of time it takes to run Reckoning once, and assuming you can actually complete it if you're running with randoms, there should be something worth getting at the end of it after a dozen runs. I thought it was terrible having to do 100+ weapon forges just to get a blast furnace and kindled orchard that I liked, but it wasn't near as bad as this. At least I could get legendary shards from the weapons I didn't like, and have the choice to forge the armor if I wanted, without it replacing the reward of getting a weapon. Instead, I'm getting one gunsmith part at a time with all the blue crap coming out of Reckoning and Gambit Prime.

FIRST TIER 3 EVER DONE, AND I GET A SNIPER RIFLE. SCREW GAMBIT PRIME AND RECKONING.
