*Then. You illiterate heathen. (I'm kidding, calm down.)
-
Ha, I noticed but could no longer change it once the moderator edited my answer.
-
u -blam!-ing kidding us right ? ? u announce a whole new quest story with choices ... and we end up being forced to do a -blam!-ing grinding of hell in pvp again ..... there is NO choice after all. a choice would be. if a pvp player can choose to pvp and a pve player can choose to pve ...and not forcing all into pvp with a grinding like hell . seriously i have no idea in what kind of reality bungie is atm. but there is NOTHING new. we do all over again old crapp content. like the strike for dorn ....u have have us running again savanthus lied.. with a massive ammount of 1 hit mobs and AOE dmg and call it a new content. this is lame, ebarassing, and a ashame realy.
-
k, then don’t do it. Although, since all the people that don’t like to play PvP are using Void Handcannons to get Thorn, people aren’t cheesing with Ace or Pulses that much. So go ahead and play now so that you can get an enjoyable experience for once.
-
balanced is nothing in pvp .... enjoyable is nothing in pvp its work, and frustrating, esspacaly for pve players like me who are not able to kill more than 4 to 7 ppl in pvp. for every -blam!-ing exo quest... the last once was only handcannons.. we had to grind pvp... we go there and get meltet from bored players with lunars howl, or pick ass.. makro users who are more sliding arround than even running....shotgun jerks , and ofc ppl with kill streaks from above 30 and more... today if seen players with the new smg melting ppl down just by running through them, anding up with 60+ kills. snipers who magicaly can jump arround and kill u without a crosshair, while u jumping arround. the whole matchmaking,a nd pvp balance is crapp. than we are forced to grind there for a weapon ..and ofc its again a lame handcannon. pvp is no fun , not balanced, and not worth the time at all, thats why i just deleted the thorn quest after all. they already -blam!-ed up the quest for last word, now this, even after all this shitstorm they got cuz of last word quest.
-
So if you don’t want to put in the effort to get an exotic weapon, don’t play it. Simple
-
I agree. I hate pvp with all my heart. However it was somehow enjoyable to play in somewhat balanced games with almost everybody playing with void hc. It felt like an even play field for once int this games lifecycle.
-
Boo hoo, they are making you play the game to earn the rewards. You can’t separate PvE players and PvP players, there are simply people who play the game. Sure, PvP may be in a shitty state right now, but you aren’t entitled to not play part of the game if you want the rewards. Should there always be a PvP option to earn raid weapons? Absolutely not, because the whole point of the weapon is that you went into the raid and earned it. You have to do the requirements to get the weapon. You idiots always try to treat PvP as not part of the game, when it one hundred percent is. You may not like playing PvP, and you are one hundred percent allowed to have that opinion, but you shouldn’t be able earn a weapon because you don’t like doing something.
-
Sure, that may be something that they could explore, but they would have to revamp how we earn gear. Most gear is behind pve so they would have to make that available to pvp players as well. Not sure the pve crowd will be happy with this.
-
You realize they are probably testing to see if this works as a way to get people into the playlist right?
-
Testing and incentivizing. They have been doing this since the beginning, nothing new here.
-
Except it is. They’ve never done this before with an exotic. Which was the whole point of the post.
-
They have tracking tools and can easily track how many players completed thorn via quickplay and how many through comp. Also, Bungie has always tried to make comp more alluring, starting with redrix in season 3.
-
Obviously. You’re missing the point— which is contained by what you just said.
-
I think you are the one missing the point.
-
Nope.
-
I think Sonicboom's right. The quest requires kills, and kill totals tend to be lower in Comp, so by having those kills count for more, You break even - more kills in QP, fewer in Comp, same amount of progress. Would you rather it counted the same, so the comp stacks would all come to QP to stomp their way through the quest?
-
Yep. By playing quickplay for the quest, OP will have achieved exactly the same in terms of feedback, thus a redundant and useless post.
-
I’m not refusing to play comp because I’m not good at comp. I’m refusing to play comp because I don’t like the playlist and I think the manipulation of the player base to try and sell us on it via an exotic quest is unethical.
-
Edited by GrundleBeans: 3/17/2019 8:34:03 PMSuggesting to players an optional game mode be played for potentially faster progress, but tied directly to your own personal performance, for an optional quest, is not unethical. Forcing you to play the quest and not being allowed to do other activities until you complete it, suggesting you to pay real money to make progress, or something like 2 versions of Thorn where people who play Comp get a more powerful version than people who choose to play QP are examples of questionable ethics, but not this. Nobody is being manipulated into playing Comp when they don't want to with something being held back if they don't do it. Anyone can make equal progress in QP and we all know it.
-
I think me having to drive to get to work is manipulation of me needing to use my vehicle to buy gas for it later is unethical
-
The fact your using work as a syllogism with a videogame sort of proves my point about the libidinal economy at work, which is exactly what I’m taking issue with 👍
-
Nah I just put words together to lie to you because my eyes rolled reading it
-
It doesn’t change the fact that the example you chose speaks exactly to the point. I don’t think that’s a coincidence whether you intended it or not. So, once again, troll on my dude 👍
-
Male feminists or sjws might be more agreeable to what you think is unethical but you realize fed the troll
