The players selected for this summit are also representing their respective corners of the internet, covering feedback topics from their communities to discuss.
Sorry but they represent minority (and they also make money from your game, which makes their suggestions about the game biased, imo). They represent the minority because I'm pretty sure that the VAST MAJORITY of the Destiny players don't go over a youtube channel to give their feedback about the game. I follow a few and I never did it. I post either here or on Reddit. You listened those streamers last time and while many things were improved, that's for sure, you also went from one extreme to the other, you went from a game that was too easy and empty of things to do, to a game that is rigged to be a grind nightmare and to throttle players progress to insane levels, making it a chore to play and extremely unpleasant to return to frequently. You guys said you wanted to bring back Destiny has an hobby but I suspect none of you at Bungie have a clear knowledge of what an hobby is supposed NOT to be. - It's not supposed to occupy all of our free time; - It's not supposed to be felt like a second job; - It's not supposed to feel boring and unsatisfying; - It's not supposed to be controlled and gated by others; - It's not supposed to feel unrewarding; - It's not supposed to make us feel we are wasting time with it; Destiny is incredibly unpleasant has an hobby because it does everything that an hobby isn't supposed to do. I've been playing this franchise non stop since 2014 but now Destiny just went down a path that has nothing to do with what the game should be. It looks like Destiny but sure as hell doesn't feel like Destiny. And if it doesn't feel like Destiny, wbat's the point of playing it anymore? It's my opinion that next summit with streamers/youtubers will only make the game go further away from your mid-core players wishes, turning it into a game that only the most dedicated players, with huge amounts of free time in their hands, will appreciate and play. In the end everybody loses if this game don't quickly change to a middle ground where all kind of players can find a way to enjoy it in a fair, balanced ratio between time invested, progression and rewards. With all that said, only one more thing seems to be in need of clarification: Do you guys want to make Destiny a success around streamers, youtubers and content creators? Are they your focus and your core community to whom you're making Destiny 2? If they are, then ok, it's your prerogative, but just be frontal and honest about it to the WHOLE community and deal with the consequences. We do deserve that honesty.
