I didn’t say they weren’t part of the community. Of course they are. They’re a minority amount of the community as with probably every game in existence. Hardcore players generally aren’t the money making individuals games target. As advertising materials, like streaming, that’s where they’re valuable. I don’t know about you, but I didn’t buy Destiny to chase tedious quests. I play Destiny because I enjoy playing. Period. It can reel me back in even though the repetitive grinding and gameplay can be boring over time. I like playing Gambit, for example. But Jesus Christ, it’s boring after the 5th or 6th game and then I go do something else. That’s why I never finish quests in, what others would consider, a timely manner. Unless it’s a fun and challenging quest. If it’s just tedious for the sake of forcing players into doing what the d$vs want, then I just take my time.
