Well I only played it a little bit on Xbox, and I didn't like it. And that's my favorite genre of games.
It's very confusing, it'll take a long time to learn. Instead of learning skills you find gems that you must socket into equipment to use the ability. There is no currency really, you basically sell items for other items and in turn buy new items with those items. Think there's like 100 different types of "currency".
When you get skill points, all of them are passives for the most part. If you don't find a good build online you won't be able to play endgame, and there is no real Respec to fix your character.
I think my biggest issue is all the lag I seem to get on Xbox. I play every other multiplayer game just fine, but something is wrong with it to me. Also there is an accuracy system, so in the beginning I would miss like 50% of my attacks, that drives me crazy. Too bad there isn't any kind of solo play like Diablo.
I'm probably gonna try to give it another shot at some point, but it's just really overwhelming to me.

Thanks for the insight. It looks daunting to learn, that's why I question it. I loved Diablo 2 back in the day, not sure if this will translate in 2019. Good thing its f2p so I won't loose anything by trying it. If it ever gets released for PS4!

It should get released on PS4 at some point soon, pretty sure they have quite the following on Xbox. I do wish I could get more into it though
