Idea for Armsweek and the Collections

We've got a huge selection of gear to choose from but the entirety of year 1 just falls by the wayside because they don't have the random rolls or stats needed to keep up with the Forsaken-era stuff. We can completely change that with a few changes to the system which would end up with a better QOL in the long run and something for each of us to work for: - Baseline all weapons and gear in the collection to what their natural stats would be if NO perks or modules were applied to them. I guess you'd only be able to see this from the development side or if you're good with math. When you go to pull one, it has nothing but barebone stats. No corkscrew rifling, impact casing, appended magazine, etc. Nothing to select. No masterwork. As basic as a pumpkin spice latte. Exotics and pinnacle weapons would be the exception. - Bring back Armsweek every month in a way that's useful. Banshee-44 looks lonely. Nobody talks to him anymore. And he's got enough weapons parts at this point to stock an army. Let's change that by buying the perks we need from him and throwing in that grind with relevant objectives to balance everything out. You want Dragonfly? Ok, here you go. Apply it to that sweet, sweet Garden Progeny. Now go get 250 headshots and 100 grenade kills. THEN it'll count as completed and you can apply it. Same basic concept as finishing an exotic's masterwork, but for the various "slots" on the weapon. 250 reloads after a precision kill for Outlaw, 1000 kills for Extended Mag, 500 kills at long range for long-range scope or corkscrew rifling. The possibilities are as infinite as the Infinite Forest. - Buy other modules as needed to fill out all available slots and you end up with something truly unique you worked hard to put together, love the look of, and will use for the long term. Obviously you can lock certain modules or rolls to the craziest of weapons (Magnificent Howl on The Old Fashioned would be just silly) but I think you get the point. Getting that desired piece of gear after such a long time grinding, only to end up with garbage perks you'll never use, can still be a good thing if it means you've unlocked it and can make your own desired roll in the next Armsweek. I realize this somewhat breaks the basic concept of a looter-shooter but this could be a really fun, long-term dynamic. Make us feel like we're grinding for something awesome and cool instead of our 100th Edge Transit.
