Yea im sure you do remember d1 fondly through rose tinted frames, hate to break it to you, but d1 y1 had as many issues as d2 does. But atleast then, it was their game. Now, in d2, its the "communitys" game. People asked for nerfs, got nerfs, complained about nerfs, wanted buffs, got buffs, new meta, and they want nerfs.

Edited by EdgeCrusher02: 3/5/2019 9:05:36 PMNo rose tinted glasses. I’m aware it had issues. Even then I took a break. But I did play a bit. I barely touched Black Armory by comparison and there’s nothing that interests me this season. I just liked that in D1 I could do much more on my own terms. Now they are heavily dictating what people do and really trying to find ways to make fit some kind of PvP into it and I don’t want that. I’d much rather run around in an open world and earn loot by playing what I like. I like when world events happen and players flock to them and in between I can explore and do what I want. I’ve always hoped that they’d open the game up more in that regard. I even liked repetitive strikes more than this annual pass content. The game has been slowly moving in the opposite direction and now I think it’s arriving at the breaking point for a lot of people.

Yea, players pushed the game in that direction, rather, their feedback did. When the player feedback is as bad as it is for this game, it wont end well, it never does, and the community will just keep blaming each other or bungie for the state of the game without seeing their role in its downfall. The game has been inched ever closer to this point, funny thing is, players going back to d1, seem to have nothing but nice things to say, when, a week before d2 launched, it was nothing but hate for everything the game was. How quickly we forget i suppose. Truth is, d1 is better without trials or future upsates, since its now freed from the ever looming threat of the next balancing patch people can play however they like, i frequently see weapons like fusion rifles in d1 crucible, and autorifles, blade dancers, aggro-bubble titans, its truely amazing the variety in playstyles and load outs. I still see meta players, double stickies no land side arm, ice breaker pali/eysaluna but for every one of them i see a Blade dancer with radient dance machines a vex mythoclass and a vestian dynasty.
