Telesto and Sleeper catalysts
Are there any future plans to make the telesto and sleeper catalysts available outside of the prestige raid lairs? It was incredibly difficult to find a team to run the prestige version of the lairs back when they were relevent due to the lack of popularity for set loadouts, i'm sure you can imagine how hard it is to find a team now, in year 2 with season 6 approaching.
I'm sure you can look at the numbers and see how many unique players are running them.
I'm not asking to make them easier to get, you can cut the drop rate in half for all I care, i'm just asking that you include them in an activity that is relevent/current

10 RepliesTwo catalysts in this game are absolutely worth it and those two are for the Sleeper and Whisper,both need to be locked behind difficult activities. Only makes sense that way. Oh and by the way the Sleeper catalyst has a very high drop rate in prestige SoS,in most cases you will get it before the last boss phase unless you are very unlucky. There are plenty of players still playing SoS but mainly on weeks with favorable loadouts,not many will play it when it's something like sidearm/SMG/sword with the Arsenal modifier.With better loadout selection and modifier the more players play it. Either way unless you have all the EP weapons you will get sick of playing EP trying to get said weapons to even complete the catalyst.

1 ReplyIn all fairness, the Telesto catalyst is now obsolete since the weapon is in the energy slot. The Sleeper is rarely used anymore except a couple encounters in the raids. Both are about as worthless as the Mida Catalyst (reload speed). You cant find a team to farm these because people either A) have good RNG and dont run these raids anymore; or, B) are more like me and fed up watching everyone else find these crap catalysts and suffer from trash RNG.

Lets be honest most pinnacle rewards are design for the top streamer 1% of the game atm.not very approachable for the day to day gamer. I dont really care ive just fallen out of love of the chase i had in d1 compared to d1.

Anything to keep people playing activities that would otherwise rarely be touched so they can stay somewhat relevant instead of just making it so that people can play what they want to earn gear and progress things. It never even made sense that the Sleeper Catalyst came from the Leviathan anyway. They just couldn’t find any other way to keep people playing the lair. It should be and EP drop or Mars related in some way.

1 ReplyThe sources are way out dated, and overly time consuming to obtain. It's so difficult to get Bungie to change anything. They're either dug in for whatever reason, or close minded. Either way is a self destructive stance.

21 RepliesSleeper should be Mars related, Telesto should be in the world. Neither weapon is related lore wise to the lairs, so they shouldn't be locked behind unrelated content. In short? You are correct 👍

1 ReplyWhy not just make older raids soloable (without cheese)? Maybe make a solo player raid mode for classic raids where there is still difficulty and mechanics, but changed so that a solo player can do them.

1 ReplyI still dont get why sleeper catalys was locked behind the raid when it had nothing to do with the raid itself. Same can be said for skybuners. The rsid catalyst are by far the hardest to obtain, even more so considering no one really runs th old raids period

They should put them in Nightfall strikes, or maybe in dungeons. Prefer Nightfall strikes, as D2 vanilla, it was in the base game. All users should be able to obtain it, not ones who bought forsaken or annual pass only.

5 RepliesExotic weapon catalysts across the board are a cumbersome kludge to boost player playtime. I understand why Bungie implemented them like that (desperate times, desperate measures), but between the massive RNG involved in the initial drops for many of the catalysts, the disparity of difficulty of simply participating in activities involved in making the drops happen (a raid is much more involved to even attempt than simply a world drop or crucible drop, for example), and the fact that additional grind is required after obtaining the catalyst (which may further force play of non-matchmade activities), it’s an unengaging and utterly unbalanced nightmare. Leaving some catalysts impractical to obtain or grind for is unbalanced and problematic. Leaving some catalysts outright unobtainable is unbalanced and unacceptable. Leaving some exotic weapons without catalysts entirely is also unbalanced and unacceptable. Exotic catalysts are a mess Bungie needs to clean up. Shoving any of them behind raids or raid lairs was never a good idea, to say the least.

Agreed. It is now ridiculously hard to find a team capable of running prestige Spire of Stars. Even normal year 1 Raids are now rare to see people running them. They need to revert the loadout restriction, increase the drop rate, & let Prestige raids drop powerful gear, enhancement cores & bright engrams to incentivise play.

I mean those two catalysts are essentially the exclusive exotics for each of those raids. I feel like it’s not too much to ask to do them like you had to do Vault for vex mythoclast back in the day. They’re not even that hard to do with how many more tools we have now then back when people had to struggle to get these catalysts

Seeing how those two weapons are NOT raid specific, their catalyst should drop fro other opportunities, like NF or PvP. Now, Legend of Acirus, that catslyst should drop from the raid, because its a raid SG. Nobody ever plays Prestige Levi or Prestige EOW. It's all about SOTP or LW and whatever you guys have coming out after Season of the drifter. Seriously, make it better available, or increase the drop rate for them in those raids so we're not wasting our time. -
Weird I see lfg post's every week for the prestige raid lairs. There are even post's every week for prestige raid Easy Chest runs for people who don't want to beat end boss and get a clear. Stop being lazy and looking for a catalyst handout
