Proposed content to Black Armory

Within the new season of the Drifter video, a dev says "better than black armory." I know they are talking about the grind and on-boarding process to unlock all of the content afforded to the players, but it makes me feel they are leaving the black armory content behind. That content isn't bad, it's unfinished. We, as the players, give a powerful tool to Ada and then...nothing. So I have proposed content I would like to see added to Black Armory to keep it on par with the live content moving forward so it doesn't suffer the same fate as some year 1 content and expand the lore behind what we accomplished. I like the Armories, and as such, I am biased and would love to hear offer people suggestions and open a dialogue on ideas to add and make this content more worth while. 1. [b] A New Forge [/b] - Ada makes a new forge with new weapon frames that are unique. For example a non-exotic Trace Rifle, a Kinetic Single shot Grenade Launcher, or a Liner Fusion Rifle. Weapon archetypes with not a lot of options for players. 2. [b]Radiance's [/b] - Currently the only buff we can give BA weapons is more damage in forges. I propose that more options become available. Some examples of these would be: More damage in Raids, more damage to invaders and taken in Gambit, and More Super Energy generated upon precision kill. This would keep forge content relevant beyond the current road-map. 3. [b]Boss or Enemy Rotation[/b] - This one is time and resource intensive, but an idea for discussion anyway. What if the Cabal take over Nioble Labs and then players have to deal with them instead of the fallen. In response the fallen take Volundr Forge. This sets up a seasonal rotation that shows players, the content will adapt and change to mitigate potential player burnout. 4. [b]Lesser frame improvements[/b] - I do like how the Vanguard, Gambit, etc frames give players basically two chances at the perks they want of those weapons. I suggest that in addition to that, those frames have access to BA perks such as surrounded and can equip radiance's. This can bring new life to those frames through interesting perk match-ups, and if the previous proposals goes into place, can make those frames work in a variety of game modes. 5. [b]More unique weapon perks[/b] - Bring some of the pinnacle and curated weapon perks (not all of them) to the forge weapons. This would also be applied to the non-black armory frames as well should the previous proposal go through. Also, I have an odd idea. IRL, auto-cannons on tanks do not have a belt of the same ammunition, it might go four normal and one high explosive or armor piercing. We have a weapon that does something like this, the Polaris Lance. I propose a version of that for Kinetic weapons. Every fifth round could either an explosive payload, an over penetrating round that does massive damage or some other effect. This would be for auto-rifles, pulse rifles, SMGs and sidearms as scout rifles and hand-cannons have their own version. Thank you for reading this long post. I play this game a lot, and now that Bungie is free to progress operations at their pace, I hope they can take a look at this and other posts that seek to offer suggestions. I hope to hear from the community how they would like to expand upon this content.

    Adding comments and suggestions from talking with friends and PM's about this particular topic. If radiance's get more options, then making Forge Armor have a radiance slot would improve those items and give more meaning to making a full set. Adding cosmetic radiance's that could either be player made, or drop from Eververse engrams. An example of such an item would make enemies you kill with weapons equipped, explode in confetti. Add a quest or bounty chain to master work an item. Ada could provide a bounty that requires running a lot of forges, gathering items, running strikes or a combination of those, and the reward would be an item that when used, masterworks the weapon or armor its used upon. Kind of makes sense that a master forge worker could masterwork your forge made item. Just a small bit of the discussions I have had. Would love to hear more.
