I'd like to start off by saying that, I really like handcannons, and a good handcannon is pretty hard to come by in Destiny 2. There are honestly not that many good choices and the good ones you have to grind your thumbs off for. With thorn coming back, I'm sure a lot of people who loved the gun are excited, then there's people that are disapointed because they think Bungo is being lazy. Thorn is a weapon of story and infamy in Destiny 1, it was something to fear in pvp, it was something you had to counter. Which is great, there were three handcannons in Destiny 1 that were god tier to have. If you were a handcannon fan, it was your goal to acquire the gun that most held your touch. I often call these guns the holy trinity. Don't ask why. But these exotic handcannons were so different in nature and so unique in someones hand, that they changed the game entirely. There was hawkmoon, last word, and thorn. Hawkmoon was better with ammo, range, and sights. Last word was better with close range attacks and mobility. Thorn was better with accuracy and damage. So anyone who liked handcannons had something to go to, and one of these guns would compliment your playstyle. They were definatley something to call, end game material. With Thorn coming back, I hope they change a few things, I hope it shoots faster than it did before, and I hope they scale it down in size a little bit. Thorn was massive and it was an eyesore. Honestly this was the reason I didn't use it, it was distracting for me. Thorn is a beatiful weapon with a beautiful story, anyone who knows it, is going to be surprised that they're introducing Rose to the game. Rose was the name of the gun before it transformed into its current state. So canonically, it doesn't make sense. However, I don't really mind. I think it's cool to bring these guns together. Imagine someone on the opposing team having Thorn, and you are equiped with Rose. You're going to have a connection with this person, almost like a nemesis of sometype, and it's going to turn into some sort of battle between you and him. It'll be awesome! When Rose comes, I hope that it does something completely opposite to what thorn does. Thorn poisened it's enemies whenever you shot them. I'm hoping that rose heals it's allies, like for example, whenever you get a precision kill, rose bursts a ton of healing energy to it's wielder and to nearby gaurdians.
