Pinnacle weapons should require a major investment, be extremely good (better than exotics), be fixed to a limited number where only about 5k to 10k can receive them, then deleted and replaced with an emblem at season reset.
They're either trash or ruin balance and limiting them plus removing them at intervals prevents them becoming meta or breaking long term balance plus ends carries once and for all.
.... what's wrong? I thought this was a game for elitists who want to be the only one top feel special while everyone else gets screwed. Aren't you good enough to be one of the chosen 10k to gain the pinnacle weapons while they last? Aren't you good enough?

I think you failed to fully read.... I'm not saying that the quest does require investment, I said it should require substantial investment, be a factually broken weapon, be limited in quantity of how many people can get it, and deleted at the end of season. Allows there to be something to work for, something for boasting rights, something worth getting, but it's limited availability and limited time it will be available means you won't have to worry about it breaking balance because your odds of running into someone using this overpowered weapon are extremely low. I'm not talking about the luna's howl, I'm talking about pinnacle weapons in general. They should be really good, but something that almost no one has, because otherwise they'll either be 1, trash, or 2, become meta and break the game.
