Iron banner armor design is faceless and boring
Dont want to play Iron Banner, because IB armor design is faceless and boring. But D1 Iron Banner armor design was great! Saladin armor - is still realy cool looking.
UPD
I mean, all D1 IB armor and ornaments looks much better than any D2 IB armor.
PS
I think I can say this about 90% of D2 armor design, but I just saw that the Iron Banner started, and it has the same boring armor again.

100% I'm surprised that bungie hasn't changed it sense everyone has been complaining about it sense the style came out.

1 ReplyFirst of all that is Days of Iron Armor you did not need to play Iron Banner at all to even get it. All you had to do was legit play the game and you could earn the armor and ornaments. Next time actually choose an Iron Banner set of armor to try and prove a point.

The S3 IB Armor is astounding. The ornaments. Especially the warlock helm and the hunter set. But yeah this armor hasn’t been that great

Been thinking this for a while. I used to chase the coolest armor for perks I loved. Now, one piece is just like another. Only the perks are looked at. What happened to the crew designing armor for D1?

All I've come to realise is this... Course correction in D2 was really slow. No new designs. Nothing new. Destiny is not earning the attention of bungie's best and brightest. What are they up to? IB armour isn't thought out and ugly.

3 RepliesIDK bruh. The warlock set with precursor vex chrome is dope city and probably the coolest warlock armor in the game. Titan set is garbage, just like every other Titan set.

There's not much variation between the three sets(look at the legs, chest, and gauntlets specifically. How they layer and the patterns on them.) Nothing "pops" or distinguishes them in terms of shape. Many a sci-fi setting suffers from this kind of issue. Notice a common pattern of hexagons, octagons, and triangles in many modern sci-fi settings when it comes to architecture and ships; it all blends together. Many space ships, for example, are angular or bulbous, very rarely making an attempt to be sleek or stylized, which goes back to my original point - the sacrifice of attitude and character for the sake of realism. Edit; I should clarify that I probably wouldn't do Iron Banner anyways because I don't like PvP in this kind of game, but it doesn't affect just iron banner gear.

I liked the ironbrute armor of the titan at most. I still have a 400LL helmet on my titan in D1. And all of the set itself.
