I’m saying wait it out and don’t preorder anything until we see actual numbers with sandbox updates. I’m cool with the game honestly. I don’t play it everyday anymore which is probably why I am. When August/September comes around and they finally announce a Bungie made Destiny expansion I’m gonna watch and read what I can to see if the game is worth it. For all we know they could be collecting as much feedback as possible and just really making plans to restructure, or they are just riding the Activision scapegoat and trying to buy time. It’s just too early to tell if Bungie is truly done.

What if I told you that some of the designs and decisions (microtransaction, loot boxes etc..for destiny 2 actually came from bungie. Would you feel the same way. Yes, activision wanted this franchise to make more money which may have pushed bungie to add these. But if they made a great game players would gladly support it. I was more than happy to pay extra for taken king dlc. If all dlc were well thought out like this. Consumers wouldn’t mind paying for it. But when you have dlc like Osiris, that’s when people are not happy.

We are on the same side friend, Destiny is a flawed game in most aspects sometimes. Their armor designs have hit a wall. The loot progression (especially in endgame) is awful. Enhancement core stalling is a cheap grind tactic. But!!! They have implemented in-game lore/collection tabs which helps collectors feel more accomplished. Given challenges to all nightfalls,missions,gambit, and PvP keeping a fresh feel to objectives. Random rolls and mods to make a weapon feel better and better. My honest opinion is to just keep this momentum. Separate PvP in PvE changes. Keep leveling and light where it’s at but give enhancement cores a better drop chance. Give endgame activities smarter loot tables. (I got 3 apex predators from Last Wish last night) And go back to a D1 cosmetic design.

I will agree, it was the lore that kept me playing destiny 1. But it was the toxicity of the players that got me to quit destiny 2 one month in. I was in a raid we were all experienced players and one inexperienced. The way they bashed him and belittled him was heartbreaking. He kept apologizing and stayed quiet most of the time. Even then he was still being bashed. When they kicked him, I left too and never went back to destiny 2.
