Originally I thought this player was cheating, but after carefully watching the recording I believe that if a player is doing a melee animation with perfect timing, the jotunn blast will not deal damage. In the video, the blast hurt me but not the other player. However, the other player did take 7 points of burn damage at the end.

You missed

1 ReplyWould be interesting to go into a private match and have somebody try to melee while being fired at with it. I have noticed in PVE that at times, if you melee just right when a boss does his slam attack, it won't hurt you or throw you back.
-
1 ReplyHonestly just looks like you completely missed him and hit the ground behind him and that's why he only took burn damage.
-
There are a couple issues with Jotunn at the moment. If you fire it then get killed and your shot still makes contact but your dead no damage will register. I love the weapon but I am afraid if people ask bungie to fix the few problems it has they will end up listening to all the people crying for a nerf. Personally I don't believe nerfing is ever the best option and Jotunn is the answer to shotgun apes. However there is a massive subreddit filled with salt of people that haven't done their six powerful weekly frames and gotten it. They are screaming for a nerf so they can go back to slide/shotgun crucible meta.

Neither is mine ... I don't have one to make damage with even if it did😥

2 RepliesIt's latency, playerbase is super low, lots are using vpns to add more lag, lots of WiFi, non regional matchmaking, it's horrendous. I literally just hit a guy full on with my super and did 0 damage, he then blade barrages me and I die, then he dies to my super, then I respawn and still have my super. Game a while ago, we were losing 125-128 n shaax called it. Most players froze but a few were still playing. Then shaax gave us the win 130-129, like wtf
-
6 RepliesWell, it certainly has no trouble killing me. Repeatedly.
-
The guns an absolute beast and there shouldn't be a gun that can 1 shot you from half way across the map that's in the special slot to top it off anyways. Not only that, it will also get you multi kills from the poor sap standing to close to the bloke you just disintegrated.
-
1 ReplyGod damn whining crucibabies, ffs shut up
-
1 ReplyIgnoring all the salty Jotunn users, I've actually noticed that you can survive nova warps, spectral blades ect at point blank by connecting with a melee, it's definitely an ongoing bug.
-
5 RepliesThe guns a rocket launcher put into a fusion Rifle in the energy slot and you people still complain. It’s broken cry us a river
-
Must be a bug because it killed me in the middle of my Nova Warp. Its #9 in PVP now and climbing. Its the new Telesto (pre-neref) but stronger.

Edited by FdYAcsoyPKN83gLE: 1/28/2019 1:21:14 AMWell that is good because I get killed by this weapon regualrey and kept thinking that it is a heavy weapon that everyone is able to get the ammo for super early until I found out that it wasn't.
-
I've noticed this as well. It's why I kinda laugh when people claim it's over powered.... the damage us so inconsistent. There are times I'll hit someone point blank and it doesn't even break there shield
-
because of -blam!-ing shotguns nobody wants to try something else
-
5 RepliesI fired Jötuun a couple times in Gambit, both at Invaders and NPCs, where the projectiles did no damage. A point blank shot to an invader did no damage, and a shot at a group of enemies a couple meters away did no damage.
-
I had s similar issue the other day with fighting lion. 3 point-blank shots and no damage. Lag maybe? Who knows. Its happened a few other times as well.
-
Jotunn is the hot, new anti-invader tech in Gambit. I see all kinds of people running it in the past week.
-
Nerf Lag.
-
That was lag.
-
3 Repliesits the pos lag that is poluting this game is unplayable lately, bulets and abilities do not register, shotgun to teh face from 4 meters and only 2 pellets hit and so on
-
Just lag.
-
It better not.

3 RepliesEdited by ScottF 2112: 1/27/2019 11:33:11 PMThat is a common feature of Destiny PVP. Sometimes things work as intended, sometimes they don't.
-
That one instance is not overwhelming and hardly constitutes evidence of a bug. It just looks like it missed and hit the wall.
-
This is lag. Very common in the crucible now
