It’s the stupidest thing a game can have. It deflates the players enthusiasm to want to keep playing knowing that its totally dependent on luck. MAKE THE PLAYER EARN THE REWARD NOT GRIND THE SHIT OUT OF IT ONLY TO KEEP COMING UP SHORT EVERY TIME. For a game to maintain a players interest there has to be a sense of progression. Please require that ANY quest do not have a 100% RNG element to it.
For a game to maintain a players interest there has to be a sense of progression.
While I don't support RNG progression generally if you're unwilling to let rewards come as you play and must beg for them to be given to you faster (with the implicit threat that you'll switch to a different game that rewards you more frequently) the question should be asked whether you're playing for the gameplay or for the arbitrary stats.

Well what quest is 100% depend on rng? I don’t even know what quest you’re talking about

Isn't there a saying that the definition of insanity is repeating the same task over and over again expecting different results? I played yesterday after reset for quite a while. I ended up getting nothing. Anything was dismantled and no exotics again. So basically, I played several hours for shards and useless weapons. I've been spending less time on the game. I had my day off today and never played at all. I'm thinking it's going to be longer breaks between game time. Obviously, they're not going to lose any business or go broke if I stop playing, but I can't be the only person who is going to leave and play something else. I don't expect Anthem to be the answer to everything but I certainly intend to try it. The RNG needs to change or people are simply going to migrate elsewhere.
-
Agree, but only after a certain time. That said, it is a difficult balance. How do you keep people playing, but happy at the same time.
-
What about the people (like me) who can’t even obtain the key mold thanks to a bug that has yet to be fixed. I just learned about 15mins ago that I’m basically screwed until a fix is implemented.
-
By quitting the game you will start to feel a freedom that is unexplainable. You will realize that you have overcome an addiction to a very unhealthy game.

I thought Luke Smith just posted he was still fully in charge and not afraid.

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 1/24/2019 12:40:00 AMThe is one of the dumbest things this so-called "investment team" has done. I think these guys need to learn what (investment) actually means because it doesn't mean drag the player base through mud.

Yeah, division 2 coming.

what are you even talking about.

This is the reason I don't do the exotic quests. I still have Y1 quests sitting in my pursuits tab. When can I delete those? They take up space I could use for bounties.

Edited by Dre_2314: 1/24/2019 12:41:58 AMBrace yourself....neckbeard white knights incoming, wielding an arsenal of insults and demands that you either delete all characters or sell your soul to lord Bungie like they did.

Malfeasance was a real pain in the ass bc you had to rely on getting the boss to spawn then you have kill it then you proceed along a really grindy quest then once you complete it all you get a let down of an exotic that you probably you will never use over any other exotic that is better at dps or killing another guardian faster Not to mention a trust can easily outgun malfeasance despite it saying they are the same archetype but you can tell malfeasance shoots way slower than 180 not to mention its super inaccurate

Edited by Achilles Flame: 1/23/2019 7:00:10 PMJust curious which quest step are you referring too, that is a 100% RNG dependable?

I cant even get the chaperone quest...

Doing a quest over and over with the hope that something drops is considered grinding, and the best part is that they actually think that's a logical thing to do. But they'll tell you rEeEe YoU nEeD tO gEt gUd cAsUaL ScRuB!!!! Lmfao ok.

I was thinking the other day, 'hmm, I haven't gotten an exotic in 3 weeks'. I play regularly and do all my milestones for the most part. So, let's say you're lucky and you get an exotic every 2 weeks. With all the exotics in the game now, (rough math) you have a 1 in 30 chance of it being the item you'd like...and that's excluding catalysts, sparrows, ships, etc. Even if you get an exotic, you still have what, a 1 in 5 chance of it actually being a decent roll? That's using forgiving math...So, 2 in 35 chance of it being a good exotic, 1/17 roughly. Now, let's throw in the 'luck factor' and say you have a 1/8 chance of getting a good exotic. It takes you 2 weeks to get an exotic, with a 1/8 chance, that's 16 weeks...4 months to get 1 good exotic. That is freaking painful RNG.

this is the 3rd or so post you've made about these boots. they've given the ability to have Guaranteed armor drops. even still it's a %20 chance of getting a specific piece. just keep up the grind.
-
can you provide a little more detail about the following:
“An ancient black armory frame” is the quest step. I have been grinding for the titan boots but I get everything but the boots. This needs to be fixed.
not entirely sure I know how it is RNG specifically gated and why the boots are a must.
-
is this about the boots?
-
Got to get them sweet gaming hours. The more RNG they can put in the more time they can leech off the, let's call them innocent, players.
-
What's this quest?
-
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

What quest are you referring to?
