I was in my inventory about to use a Finest Matterweave, but I was also distracted and talking to a friend on discord. Instead of being hovered over the Finest Matterweave, I had Enhancement cores on the brain and naturally gravitated to them while holding 'F'.
Boom. 40 Masterwork cores. Gone.
Now, I recognize this was completely my own doing. However, I do find it frustrating that the most valuable currency in game can completely disappear with one action. Even Shaders are single delete, and you can literally buy them back from collections. There's honestly no reason these should even be discard-able, or at the very least they should discard one at a time like almost everything else in the game.

Back in D1, in a moment of sheer stupidity, I was curious if I pressed delete on my armor materials, (I only had 800) if it would delete one, or all of them.
It deletes all of them
Edited by spaceboundnoob: 1/23/2019 8:25:31 AMHahahaha hahaha.. If true, you, you are too stoopid to own cores. If you're lying (most likely), we'll that's just proof in the pudding that you entitled millennials will do anything at all costs to get something for free. X

When 3 seconds of sweetiness, destroys 2 weeks of grind.

Press F to pay res.. oh wait
-
Tbh, you're not a real Destiny player unless you've deleted something you wanted to keep by mistake lol! I know I have hahaha. Would be nice if Bungie could add the lock function to (some) consumables. (I appreciate I have no idea how difficult a task that might be though.)
-
they should just remove the cores all together
-
Lol. Your generation just loves to avoid accountability at all costs. So YOU deleted something of value, and it’s somehow Bungie’s fault. What is even worse is that there are people below who also think this is Bungie’s fault. I need to do what everyone else does and leave this forum. Just log into Reddit only. You all have lost your minds. Entitlement.
-
Are you sure you weren't just baked and thought you could remove them from the game yourself?
-
It could be solved through a qol improvement of being able to lock inventory items to only deplete by legit means. Have inventory currencies tied to major parts of the game be unable to be deleted. Or move it to main resources and not be in inventory. 3 possible qol improvement for enhancement cores. #feedback

Oh man...sorry to hear Guardian.
-
I hide all my cores and mods in my vault.
-
That sucks. But I do agree - why can't it be "single core" deletion? Like Shaders? Being the most prized material in the game, you think it would be.
-
Ooooooooffff
-
The reason you can delete a whole stack of Cores at once is because there are no rewards given by deleting them. Shaders do give you glimmer/bright dust/legendary shards upon dismantling, which is why you can't just delete 978 shaders at once.
-
I once deleted a God roll Doctrine of passing in D 1. I've learned my lesson the hardway but I got it.
-
Lol I feel you. I accidentally deleted my mod components. I only had 20 but still was a pain in the azzzz
-
Trying not to laugh :) It does suck though, done this myself with 150 mod components before they were buyable, really annoying!
-
I did that with exotic shards back in D1. 150 just gone 😂
-
It takes an act of Congress to delete shaders at Mass but the most precious Material in the game can all be deleted at once.... Fckng Bungie Logic right there!!!!

Edited by Manslave2Eris: 1/22/2019 9:01:58 PMI hated to upvote your misfortune (It just feels awkward to upvote something bad happening), but yeah... It needs attention. I understand they have/had silly reasoning to only be able to delete 1 shader at a time, but to allow us to dump a stack of something as nice as cores in one push? The argument could be made about needing to pay attention, but still... 1 shader or a full stack of cores? Not right.
-
That sucks! Ugh! There shouldn't even be an option to 'delete' cores- period.
-
It's stuff like this that makes me wonder if anyone with any real intelligence works there. It's terribly insulting I know, but wow. It took them months to come up with a way to get rid of shaders that still doesn't really work but they can't make one of the most important inventory items single delete? Just WTF already? I don't know if it's true honestly, and I'm not going to delete 200 cores just to find out if this is a troll. But if it is true, epic fail.

Good thing it’s Tuesday take bout 2 hours of doing spiders bounty 3x to get them back xD
-
well that wasn’t super smart bud
