Endgame boring for solo players
after reaching 650 on all 3 characters and getting all the non raid weapons there's nothing worth doing the weekly milestones are repetitive and give me nothing new and I know I could try a raid but as a solo player I've never bothered buying a headset and nobody wants the guy with no mic . we need more content the annual pass is more of the same it's when you've reached all your goals and acquired everything you realise how little there is to do in D2

Ps4 comes with a mic. If you have a iPhone or a droid you have a mic. Nice try though.

The game isn't a MMO, it's not a RPG, it's not a story filled action game. There isn't some grand epic journey for players to enjoy here. There is barely any game here so you must repeat stuff over and over. The Raids even though I don't even think they are big enough to be considered raids... are such a major part of the content that you shouldn't buy the game if you don't plan on eventually playing them.

You cant even keep up with content unless ytou super hadrcore let alone get bored, theres crazy amount of areas with quests , many dungeons + raids (incl. 24 player raids) , matchmaking/ingame party finder for everything, for the money wasted on destiny2 i could have paid subscription for 2 years there lol

2 RepliesThe thing is...this has been a problem since launch, Bungie has barely moved the needle on it at all. And honestly? It’s not like the forced group content is highly replayable either, which is one of the things that makes people attacking this post so silly. There’s no reason for the bulk of endgame activities to be mostly static or minimally varied activities. It’s also insanely weak to act like we “need” these activities to be heavily multiplayer; most of the mechanics they come up with that demand multiplayer coordination are just heavy-handed and forced ways to force multiplayer coordination. It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy sort of mindset, and frankly it’s utterly uninspired. Beyond that, pretty much everything else is just a timer or DPS limit or mob swarm issue; all things that there’s no good reason couldn’t be dynamically or semi-dynamically adjusted based on the number of players involved in the activity. People need to stop pretending that having only one viable way to play the game adequately covers the needs of the playerbase. People need to stop acting like there aren’t solutions for addressing the shortcomings of a “multiplayer or bust” design that can accommodate players of variable group sizes. Teamwork being passed off as a pinnacle of PvE mechanical design is just downright embarrassing; there’s no defending that idea. But ultimately, it comes down to Bungie needing to step up and do a better job. Consistently, they instead fail to. I’m not saying building highly replayable, engaging PvE content for endgame is easy. But every other issue here is damn well solvable straightforwardly enough.

Edited by Wishkiller87: 1/21/2019 5:37:23 PMPlaying solo - endgame is meant for groups as the game is geared to playing in groups (multiplayer) No mic - you may use a phone or computer to connect to discord and use discord chat for pc Alternatives: if you play xbox then use pc/phone to connect to xbox app and connect to party from there to talk. Use basic earbuds to hear chat and phone to talk. I'm sure ps4 has same thing. Basic: 1. multiplayer game - you are choosing not to do the extra content with other people so you can not make a sound judgement call on the content. (It is lacking regardless) 2. There are other means of chatting to other individuals. The no mic is a poor excuse unless you dont own a phone or a pc Edit: Please if you have time watch a video or look at a text guide for raids so you are not totally clueless as time is available. Thank you

does PS4 not have something like discord? Find a group for raids is so easy on PC. getting into a group for Last wish takes like 5 minutes. if you want to play together you're going to need a mic. also doing NF solo is a good endgame challenge.

But a Mic they are 15 bucks or use ear buds they are 2 bucks so that excuse is invalid. Also obviously no one wants to raid with the no Mic person... raids require some call outs at times. Being the no Mic person puts you as ad person all the time and essentially you're being carried threw the raid... which is not fun to do or to be the person gettong carried

You don’t need to buy a headset, you can use mobile headphones & nobody wants a “no mic guy” because why make the Raid harder when it’s built on a foundation of spoken communication! Go play something else then

It’s a bunch of convoluted mechanics that takes WAY too long to do if you don’t have people to regularly play with and very few people want to work with inexperienced players. They absolutely should have a “simplified” version of the raids with matchmaking that awards only a single piece of gear a week so that everyone can experience the story that comes with it. I tried Last Wish three times with randoms and I just don’t care anymore. 7 hours of trying only to get to Riven and not finish because people were tired of it. Disappointing waste of time and certainly not something I want to subject myself to weekly.

Ignoring that, those things are only a few bucks and do the job. As for the issue as a whole, it’s really not that big of an issue. The majority of content in the game as doable by solo players. I’m a solo player as much as I can be, but I realise that in the time it takes to make posts complaining about Bungie screwing over solo players, I can easily find a fireteam for something. I tested it, and around the time that I’m typing this, it takes less than 10 seconds to find a fireteam for any of the main raids.

Legit use any pair of earphones with a mic on PS4 it works. Beyond that if you don't want to be bothered to talk and use the fireteams tab of this app that makes it easy to find groups., To do a raid , give up. This game is meant mostly for playing with groups or friends . Most of us don't have a dedicated group of friends to play destiny with , but guess what , we use the lfg tab to fix that . 0 excuses and just sounds like entitlement at this point . You are solo because of your lack of effort.
