To my knowlage this hasn't been talked about, but it is surprising seeing as there is so much focus on classes and abilities how come there is not a Tank subclass? Now I know what lots of people are going to say and I'm going to stop it right here "But Code of the Protector gives you overshield on Melee along with other buffs" Yes, I understand that extra health is nice and all but I'm talking about an actual proper tank, slow and tough!
What is the communities thoughts on this? What would this even look like in the Destiny style?
And, If wanted (as I don't wanna just fill this space up with useless whatever) I could discuss what I believe a Titan Tank should look like.

Edited by Syntex UK: 1/18/2019 5:25:42 PMIsnt titan ment mean god killer, monstrous beast of destruction and yet the class dosnt even close to the power of the kraken. if they did bring out sumthing like that for the titan they would have to re-balance its capabilities more armour less dps. No one would use it, i wouldnt. Plus if i want to play as a tank id go on ESO, destiny just isnt built to represent that sort of class in the game. Dont get me wrong its a good idea but no not for me.

Tanks would be great. Make them actually be what they're called Titans. Puts the aspect of teamwork back in the game as the lone runner encountering it has no chance. Great for grabbing a zone. Or invading a map. Perfect for heavy combat areas in raid encounters. I see an up side here. But I see about 50 crying hunters coming back with why it's not good. They can't kill it solo that's it. They can run away but not smart enough to so they will die and cry.

3 RepliesTanks won't work the way destiny is designed. Every class is dps, and all the objectives are designed around that, so tanks won't add anything, but slow down the ttk. Hopefully in d3 they make it more of a rpg. That way you can build a tank and have ways to manipulate aggro and control the battle. Though I doubt many people here want real tanks.

Give me a -blam!-ing phalanx shield I can shoot with and hell yes we're in business

6 RepliesIf it looks fatter, and uglier than Titan armor already does, I don't want it. But I would say anything tank-like needs a big ballistic shield. #February'sComing #I'mLeavingOnAJavelin

4 RepliesEdited by Taxathûn, God of the IRS: 1/17/2019 3:27:35 PMTitans are not supposed to be tanks, they are supposed to be the soldier/warrior class, like Spartans from Halo. Bungie has even stated that Titan is a future soldier class (again, like Spartans from Halo). While Titans do has some tanky abilities, they are not effective tanks and a real tank class it should be a new class entirely.

6 RepliesI would say sentinel is the tankiest. They’re the hardest to defeat in my opinion.
