I just want the basic melee to be like the Iron Axe. The spin-to-win is kinda awful.

  • Suncharge or something like it would be best as the light attack, mostly because it'll give the super the mobility it needs, but at the cost of super energy and an animation at the end of each use. If the Iron Lord's Axe's melee was implemented, the super will still be stupidly slow, one big issue it currently has.

  • It'd ironically give it more mobility at the same time due to it's single attack capability and the fact the targeting would more than likely be better since you can specifically hit one time then move on instead of just dashing in as a tornado with not-that-great control.

  • I think you misunderstand. I also want to get rid of the spin move, instead replacing it with a balanced version of Suncharge, a Sunbreaker attack from D1. If you don't know what it is, look for it on youtube.

  • Then it'd be nothing but another shoulder charge. There's no reason the axe attack can't lunge the same way without the pause in between every attack.

  • Believe it or not, but shoulder charge and any variations of it are iconic for the titans. Shocker, right? So why wouldn't there be another one? Having a pause between each use would balance it, instead of it just being a spammable shoulder charge with much longer range. Just get rid of the spammable part and that'd balance it. If the light attack was Suncharge, it would be used to take out in-air targets, provide mobility, and allow this melee super to OHK neutral guardians somewhat easily as it should. The heavy attack slam would mainly be used to deal AOE and the most damage the super could offer, giving the super a chance at taking out other supers if used correctly. You could even combo the two, by Suncharging over an enemy or two below and follow up with a slam. It'll just require the skill in timing them.

  • And how does the regular axe hit not fit in with that? Literally everything can apply, you just have swings that aren't massive lunges on a class not built for speed. Who would've guessed Titans aren't speed freaks like Hunters?

  • Suncharge won't make Titans inherently faster. It would be able to give them a boost at the cost of super energy. Of course, if you were to modify the axe attack enough to match the above mentioned characteristics, it'd certainly be perfect, but Suncharge is certainly closer, which is why I say "Suncharge". It's just the closest thing to ideal, even more so than the axe attack. Also, it seems you and I have forgotten that I said...
- Replace the spin move with D1's Suncharge or a variation of it
So this bit of the argument seems to have been pointless.

  • Wasn't the entire point of the change and the main reason you've disagreed is the fact that you believe Suncharge would make the Super's attacks more mobile, and in turn, quicker overall? Is that not exaclty how that translates?

Inherently, Suncharge has the mobility aspect, whereas the axe attack does not. Which is why Suncharge is more ideal and the axe attack is not. You could take literally anything and have it fit my description (after changing it enough times, of course).
