Its Bungie being too clever again. Like the German tendency to over-engineer machines.
Given the latency issues with this game's networking, they should have just given the bow double damage, rather than breaking it up into separate events.

Yep I agree! And the fact that it literally only procs once in a while. I played six or seven games and only had the double damage once out of all the headshots I hit. They could have easily made it so that you had to hit a precision shot and that it exit damage could have range falloff (because an arrow at a longer range would have lost momentum). I also just disagree with oathkeepers being a thing. We’re extremely powerful guardians imbued with the travelers light, we can jump extreme heights and be hit with the most powerful weapons in the universe and not die. But a bow string can’t be held for a few minutes? Only bungie logic
