Why was there no internal testing with players who had no knowledge of the answers to see how long it would take to solve and flush out any issues? Seems like a major oversight to not see if the puzzle could be solved and if it could how long it might take to beat it. I’m glad Bungie tried something new but this was not handled well. That clue may have hindered players from solving the puzzle. How do you guys know it is solvable with the clues and current game patch? Edit: ok I see on Bungie twitter that it is finally solved. Did that clue play a role?
On the one hand, they can’t fully test a puzzle that’s designed for crowdsourced solutions (which clearly seemed to be the intent here, even going so far as to give a shout-out to raidsecrets). So even with everything correct, they still couldn’t guarantee it would be solved. On the other hand, they should have been able to catch the fact that there was a key text string missing that gave an essential clue.
Yes, there was no clue to stand on hand. That's the only part we had wrong. And it's apparently bugged on console.
