The Oracle pulled the crystal out of a bag and told us she’d seen every possible outcome of this encounter and decided to give us the crystal in exchange for killing her parents (Which were apparently right behind us on the columns above!). As she sat back in her throne, Umbra and I poured our power into casting a Haste spell on both Drahg and Maria just in time for the Oracles parents (Two really big snake people.) to drop down and attack from above! Timothy shot a ball of green magic at each of them and ducked out of the fray as one of them attacked Stubbles and wrapped around him. Drahg and Maria sliced it to bits almost immediately after. (Thanks to us!) The other one got Gabby pretty good, but Stubbles came to heal her while Kenjin fought the monster. Then I saw a large group of the other monsters coming up the road and looked at Umbra (And I smiled and threw a Fireball at them!) Then Timothy blocked the door with a creepy ball of darkness that made even creepier sounds. The other snake monster looked terrified (Can’t imagine why.) and shouted something at the Oracle before attacking Stubbles, and then the others quickly tore it to pieces. There were screams from behind us in the dark ball, so Umbra and I decided to pour a bit more of our power into healing both Gabby and Stubbles, and then we all prepared to fight off the remaining monsters. We fought the ones that managed to get through Timothy’s spell until it (And our Haste spell) ended. They just kept coming, they must’ve been really mad about us killing those bigger ones… Stubbles, Gabby, and Timothy went to talk with the Oracle while the rest of us (Especially Drahg and Maria.) rested on the benches. The Oracle was very pleased we had succeeded and gave the crystal to one of her attendants to bring to Stubbles. Gabby asked her why she wanted her parent’s dead, but the Oracle didn’t want to tell her story other than her parents were in control of the island and used her for her sight for centuries. She did give everyone a prophecy though (Except us. She apparently can’t see our future. Just like Stubbles didn’t see us in his dream…)
Stubbles: You can’t avoid your family forever, Dwarf. They will catch up to you. Soon. Timothy: You will find answers beneath a sea of sand. Maria: You should return home as soon as you can, dear. Kenjin: Your sister is alive and she walks a dark path. Gabby: They know. Drahg: You can drown the world in blood, but it won’t bring you peace.
After that, she told us to leave and promised the rest of the snake monsters would allow us to pass. We walked through the dead city as the sun rose, arrived at their ship, the Serenite, and now we’re sailing for some place called Stormcrown in Atamar! (Captain Kenjin is making us “swab the deck.”) So my new characters are Lux and Umbra, twin Radiant Aasimar Divine Soul Sorceresses! I was originally going to be the Medusa, but I kinda wanted to tone down the crazy...and then GM gave me the idea for the twin shtick, blame him. It's not that complicated, in combat they still count as one character for turns. They share spells, HP and stuff. They just take up two spaces next to each other for double the oh -blam!- I'm gonna die moments. Here's stats:
AC: 14 HP: 41 Sorcery Points: 5 Str (7) Dex (16) Con (14) Int (13) Wis (16) Cha (20) Feats and Stuffs: Darkvision, Healing Hands, Celestial Resistance to Radiant and Necrotic damage, Divine Favor: 2d4, Meta Magic: Twin Spell, Distant Spell Skills: Arcana, Religion, Persuasion, Insight Spells: Cantrips: Light, Spare the Dying, Mending, Thaumaturgy, Firebolt, Frostbite - 1st/4: Cure Wounds, Healing Word, Chaos Bolt -2nd/3: Prayer of Healing, Scorching Ray -3rd/2: Fireball, Haste
• Final bump to say I might stop doing these. I'm pretty busy lately, played this session on Sunday and I only got to posting it 2 days later and we're playing again tonight... Not much of a buffer. Also, bungles post space restrictions aren't fun to work with. It's hard to fit hours of stuffs into two posts. I cut out a lot of things. I might do something else later when life has calmed down a bit.
