I know right. It’s horrible to have to put thought into which one to use. What an oversight.

Even if this is sarcasm, the answer is Breakneck. It’s just better. Which is part of the problem. If you could equip both of them, people actually might use Malfeasance for something.

Edited by brianflipside: 1/4/2019 12:00:03 AMIt is sarcasm. They are both good weapons, and this is the least of what Bungie has gotten wrong/needs attention. It you like the Breckneck more, use it. They purposely made it this way to enable variety and choice with their new system, seeing as the loot pool is full of so many horrible weapons. I personally am not a huge fan of auto rifles in their current state, and find the malfeasance to be a severely under estimated weapon. It melts Taken, and does extremely good damage vs majors and ultras, saving your power ammo for bosses.

While I definitely agree with your assessment of auto rifles, Breakneck is a pretty exceptional auto rifle. I guess this issue is more focused on Malfeasance than it is BN, because I really don’t feel it has a place in the activity it was designed for: The only time you shoot at Taken is when the boss arrives, which is when you’ll want to be using your Power/Special to melt it. It’s ability to slay majors is... fine, even if most of the ones in Gambit are shielded and it’s kinetic. I feel like there’s so much more value you can get out of your exotic slot in Gambit (Thunderlord, Queenbreaker, Ace of Spades, Riskrunner, Huckleberry) than what Malfeasance offers, on top of the fact that the other Gambit gun is in its slot. tl;dr - Buff Malfeasance again so it can compete.
