Alright, since I'm bored and have mind power to spare in something. I thought about a possible solution to the progression system right now. So, everyone hates that you can only level up via powerful engrams, and once you have done all your milestones for the week, you are left Wondering, what can I do now?
So, a simple solution to this problem may lay back in the prequel. Basically, after finishing every activity, you had a chance to get a higher light item. So, after each activity completion (crucible, gambit, strikes, PEs) you have a chance to improve your light, though this would be marginal increases.
And, to balance things out, reduce the amount of powerful engrams we can get per week. Basically, get rid of dailies and just use the weekly activities: Flashpoint completion, 5 crucible matches, 5 strikes, 5 Gambit matches would be the most common, then you can have ikora and clan XP engrams to help level up. Raid rewards are fine as they are now, as the clan completion engrams.
This can also help while leveling up, you can get a big boost from a powerful reward and then get gear to even everything else to not waste powerfull rewards, then get your next reward.
So, what do you think? Any ideas or changes that could be done to the system are welcome.
