Nova bomb and thundercrash could use an aoe buff. Make chaos reach easier to control.

I think both nova bomb and thundercrash could use an aoe buff. Why you may ask, probably because their supposed job as ad clear isn't always that easy to complete. Sure, they both have sizable aoe attacks, but honestly...i feel like they need more to be considered viable for that job sometimes. So many basic mobile supers can do the same job but better as they get the freedom of control as well as multiple attacks to do it. So what if it isn't as fast, I would rather kill more over time than less but quickly as a couple of seconds won't ruin anything unless you are time crunched. I have used thundercrash enough to know that it's pretty much garbage unless they are right next to you when you use it. It has really heavy damage scaling on the edges of the attack and can end up only taking out half the health of things like knights even though they are red bars. It's utility of flight is pretty much worthless as it's neither useful in pve nor is it effective because you will almost always use it to just launch straight down anyways as using from a distance can literally screw you over due to the supers limitations. Same thing for nova bomb. Minus its already bad damage, it simply can't kill enough enemies to sometimes even activate skull unless they are stacked amongst each other. There's just so much more they should do when they get beat at pretty much every single job by either another mobile super, or another one off super. Now I know this is wrong to make the comparison, but let's look at blade barrage. Now, what exactly can this super do? Well, it has a shotgun based projectile where they can fling knives in one direction, than another set in another direction. Each knife explodes and each knife can easily kill trash mobs with said explosion even if they don't hit them (emphasis on can). It tracks so you pretty much don't have to worry about aiming. Since its a bunch of projectiles, it doesn't get stuck on any one thing unless it's a wall of some sort. It has the ability to also deal incredibly high boss damage when you focus on that one enemy. Now, this isn't asking for any sort of nerf, and honestly I'm glad hunters got a really good super...but comparing the other two to it, it's pretty much obvious which is the best one. There's just so much more it can do as it's not stuck to a singular projectile. Nova bomb, being a more ranged super, could use a less sizable buff to blast radius, but it needs one regardless. Thundercrash, literally being the projectile, not only has to physically hit something to deal damage or explode but...you have to do it manually. Considering how there's a simple roaming super with a far more consistent aoe as well as more consistent damage, it's kind of...ridiculous just how easily this and nova bomb looks in comparison, and when you compare it to blade barrage which has such a large scope and range of utility...its pretty much ridiculous. Thundercrash is just bad Destiny 1 fist of havoc, only they gave it the ability to fly...which you pretty much never use anyways. As for chaos reach, this super is so clunky as well as disorienting to control. You pretty much can't see anything while you use it as the laser both blocks what's in front of you, but the shoulder view prevents you from seeing very far as well. Pair that with slowed down aiming and you pretty much can't hit anything very easily unless they are standing right in front of you or standing still. Maybe I need more practice with it, but in mayhem, it more visibly shows how difficult it can be to control, not that it's a PvP super to begin with. It's a great potential ad clear super and great for dps, but it's lack of control, despite being attunement of control, makes it pretty unwieldy sometimes. It could use a change like they did with sentinels block where it's more visible to see through it, or they move the camera back to allow one to see over the attack. Also allow for less clunky control of the camera when casting it.

Definitely agree with everything here. Chaos Reach isn't very good when trying to use it on small, fast-moving targets in both PvE and PvP, especially if spread out. This may just be a console/controller issue, but even towards the higher end of sensitivities like 8, I still turn absurdly slow mid-laser, and the terrible camera angle is hindering me more. And there's no reason for any one-n-done AoE-based Super to have a smaller explosive radius than a roaming one. One would think that Nova Bomb would exceed the blast radius of Nova Warp by a good margin. But Nova Warp's charged blast in fact has about double the blast radius of at least Vortex Nova Bomb(I've never tested Slowva Bomb's). And still trumps Thundercrash's by a couple of meters.
