Ah i see. I dont really care much about whatever characters orientation. But consider that any kind of exageration tends to do more harm than good. As you say pushing most characters to be gay feels monotonous. Itll be more interesting to maybe get to know Surayas family. Or maybe Devrims children. Something like that will bring more interesting lore about the npcs. It kinda feels wrong from bungie to force whatever orientation just to fullfil an agenda.

  • Yes! You get it! Thank you! I'm right there with you. That's what made me enjoy Shaxx, Saint-14, Praydeth, and others. Not only how they've affected us currentty, but, before we were even Guardians.

  • Imagine something like guardians are how they are because something that happened to them before. Like maybe Zavala is so focused on protecting the city because he lost his family in an attack. Or Shaxx fixation with crucible is because he was very weak before and he could not save his friends. Hence he want everyone to train a lot in crucible so they can protect others. You know unique things that makes us curious about npcs. Rather than who likes what sex. I mean its a game dont use it to promote one thing or the other. I rather have a suraya that cares about nature and about restoring the planet fauna and caring about the farm. Thats more interesting to know than she likes girls. But w.e. its bungie. We cant really rely on them much. Sadly.

  • Later on in the lore it does mention how Sauraya is like a mentor to new Guardians. So, we do see a softer side to her tough, war torn exterior. THAT makes her more relatable than turning down a lesbian booty date, ya know?
