Object classification: Keter
Containment procedures: SCP-018 is to be kept within a 3.5x3.5 meter (10x10 feet) storage with a height of 3meters (9feet) made entirely of 0.3 meters (1foot) of concrete, with carbon fiber lining, along with blast proof glass covered lighting having no exposed metals to avoid incident. No metal jewelry, piercings, or other metallic objects are to be allowed within SCP-018's containment outside of testing. objects produced during tests on SCP-018 are to be terminated once tests are concluded. Regular food and water consistent with the diet of the golden masked owl are to be given to SCP-018. The chamber of SCP-018 is to be regularly inspected for damage. Any reported damage is to be repaired between the hours of 6AM and 10AM. In the event of a breach, SCP-018 is to be met with force Scott-15 AKA "Stone bangers" utilizing non metal armments for re-containment.
Description: SCP-018 is that of a metal sculpture of an owl comprised of a bronze and silver alloy of unknown composition with a height of 71cm(28.4inches), and a wingspan of 2meters (6.6feet). Despite having a noticable metallic appearance, SCP-018 weight is consistent with that of a snow owl, weighing in at 2Kg (4.5lbs). SCP-018's diet consists of vermin, insects, and sunflower seed. method of digestion is unknown. When in flight, SCP-018 produces a fine, talc like powder reported to smell similar to that of an electrical fire. Tests confirm once said powder is applied to various metals, objects morph into infant variants of SCP-018, reaching maturity within 120 to 130 days. Metals converted by SCP-018 vary in weight and size depending on materials, quantities of material available, and amount exposed to SCP-018's substance.
SCP-018 was brought to foundation attention when a strange species of mechanical bird was reported to a conservation center in {Redacted} Canada. After two failed attempts and the conversion of Agent Mile's rifle, SCP-018 was eventually captured with a cover story of a hunting expedition which yielded no luck in finding this "Robo Owl".
Addendum-018-01
SCP-018 remained in containment for three days before becoming noticably weak. Dr. Hoss entered containment attempting to feed SCP-018 a mouse caught in one of the traps place on {Redacted}. SCP-018 swooped down and proceeded to eat the mouse ravenously.
Note: going forward, SCP-018 is to be fed regularly, as it is technically alive and required sustenance.

Test log-018-01
Test: SCP-018 was placed within containment with a bar of lead, Aluminum, and stainless steel. 018 was coerced into flight above said bars.
Result: all bars underwent total conversion. within four months, SCP-018 Aluminum, and SCP-018 Steel became capable of flight though lacking in the originals conversion powder. SCP-018 lead was incapable of flight due to weight.

Every time I saw the name Robo Owl, my mind went straight to the owl in Clash of Titans. Also I wanted to make something somewhat adorable but world ended which in theory, 018 can cause a lot of havoc if it's let loose. Anyways enjoy!
