I've posted about this very issue, since Bungie said they "were going to look into it", it must have been taken into consideration right? Wrong. However I have since found and was also told hip firing weapons such as cluster bomb rockets or even 1k voices increases its ability to do more damage. I went into PvE and tested this on an Ogre on Titan (,the lost sector one) and the results matched what I was told. Hip firing 1k voices increases its damage because the damage doesn't get affected by frames(although theoretically the more visual obscuring an effect such as explosions should lower your framerate even if you're hip firing because there's more explosions going on in different areas so it should affect the framerate, how does it not do that? I couldn't tell you) . After testing hip firing twice i then decided to try and ADS (aim down sight, just in case you didn't know what that meant) and i wasn't surprised that it did less damage. I have a theory about how it works. I do believe that the since the explosions are focused in one particular area, the less frames you'll have because you're getting the "lag effect" as i call it.
