I agree with the catering to the 1% comment, It's part of the reason D1 slowly got worse and D2 started off the way it did.

D2 started off bad because Bungie did listen but to the casuals
-
No Luke Smith said " D2 is made so my 8 yr old niece can play"
-
Any one can play a game I sponsor a 7year old who can play D2 just how well is a different story
-
D2 was a result of constant crying from streamer crucibabies that were spending their time in trials just complaining about everything that killed them from stickies to shoulder charge so we got a weak assed guardian in d2. Tryhards just got butthurt cos people could hit max light without doing the raid, don’t know why though, will never understand why someone would begrudge another hitting the max in any game but whatever 🤷♂️ Bungie only listen to and cater to those that provide free publicity, casuals took way too much unnecessary and easy criticism.
-
My favorite part of your post is how tryhards complained about the max light without raid but they never changed that aspect and the tryhards have just accepted it.
-
No they just made it more stupidly long compared to the raid so yeah they did change it but nice try 👍
-
Okay okay first off I know these forums are full of raging assholes but I was only trying to say it made me laugh because you can still get max without raiding. Yes it takes longer. Wish people on these forums would read something as if it was nice or a discussion instead of passive aggressive anger responses at any comment. Have a good one dude.
-
Actually, fair comment. I will certainly give u that one
-
Excuse me sir, but Rotary in your name..like the motor? Anyway yes they tried to make too many people happy.
-
Xbox chose my name but if you like then yes it is

Edited by Combo164: 12/8/2018 1:07:36 AMActually D2 was bad due to "casualizing" the game (is that even a word?). No real sense of grinding and easy to obtain exotics. Now bungie is pushing more towards the hardcore fanbase with more grind and reasons to grind. Tons of people on the forums speaking about their love of harder to obtain exotics and special weapons coming back. Enhancement cores not just being given out etc. Not only that but I'm sure the changes bungie makes are based on statistics and not just 1 person out of thousands said x. Sure that one person may amplify by showing how deadly something can be via video etc. But this idea that only a select few dictate the game is ridiculous. And really just feels like people wanting to blame someone even if they arent the ones that ultimately decide changes. Similar to people raging at deej or cozmo when they're not part of the dev team. In the end the community is just constantly flip floping.

Itd be nice if they could find a happy medium. Spreading time between a 40 hr a week job, my woman, family and trying to do my destiny stuff is rough in this current landscape. I'll spend 4 days a week for 6-8 hours session to get thru everything for 1 character. With the BA addition that just adds an extra 2-4 hours to the grind. Streamers have the time to play it all and produce content which equals $. I dont think it should be what it was but I'd like to actually be able to achieve things like resetting valor 5 times in a season without playing 7 days a week and completely sacrificing my social life. This is just from a personal standpoint. I'm sure a small percentage of people can do these things in no time. Not everyone has God like hands tho some of us have average hands lol
-
D1 was fine for grind and obtaining when you got an exotic or that one purple item you where after it felt rewarding, You get an exotic in this game or any weapon and your like ohh yeah
-
Now who’s regurgitating old nonsense 😂
-
So the fact that bungie has internal stats to go along with their game is nonsense? The fact that there have been plenty of posts saying they're ok with enhancement cores being rare is nonsense when in fact there have been posts saying so. Note i didnt agree original but the change for dropping them via bounties is nice and I'm fine with that. The fact that people do infact rage at deej and cozmo about changes as if they're the devs is nonsense....when thats basically the norm of the forums. Yes everything i stated isnt a thing and I'm simply speaking nonsense.
-
Why did they need to increase the ll again for new end game content they could off done 600 ll forges, it's still end game content cores are a joke
-
I didn’t say it wasn’t thing dude you gotta relax before ya pop a vessel but everything you are saying has already been said countless times before by others, the very same way what I’ve said has. You can’t call me out for something then proceed to do the exact same thing lol I admire your passion if nothing else 👍
-
I feel as though your simply saying I'm repeating other people simply to have a right back at you moment. Its failing seeing as though you claim your doing the same but really you arent. Your just basing your views on well x streamer said blank so obviously theyre to blame. Again not once have you given an streamer exclusive issue that was altered. Just other forum users are saying its streamers fault and i agree even though i lack examples. And things I've said have been said by others? That's a rarity seeing as alot of posts have been bashing streamers with no hard proof meanwhile I'm doing the opposite. And if i recall you just made a blanket post saying i was speaking nonsense. Not specifying what part of my post you were refering to.

You know the rules about naming and shaming, nice try getting me to set up for a ban though 😂 Streamers complained all through trials, hawkmoon was competing with people at sniper range, titans were only using fire sticky nades, titans shoulder charge was too op, no streamer played 6 vs 6 unless it was iron banner because 6 vs 6 was too hard for them to keep control of their environment, even xur in d2 being made visible was a problem because nobody needed a where’s xur video. It was also a problem that people could hit max light without raids and trials meaning carries were less frequent. Bungie nerfed our guardians into the ground, 4 vs 4 was introduced and a constant tail chasing of trying to keep pvp balanced for the streamer babies. If they didn’t have bungies ear then what was the all expenses paid weekend trip to bungie hq all about when the streamers had all hopped on fortnite? It wasn’t too long ago that a certain streamer was crying like a bitch on bungies Twitter about ursa furiosa, I haven’t played since but I wouldn’t be surprised if ursa was nerfed. Bungie need these parasites like they need bungie so it’s pretty clear that bungie will secretly accommodate their sorry assed crying. I mean didn’t bungie turn a blind eye to all the guys that done the forsaken raid that exploited the game to achieve unattainable light for honest abe? Yeah, my mind was made up long ago what side of the bread bungies got buttered. You defend their sneaky asses all ya want, they ruined destiny for me and I dare say I’m not the only one so do me a favour and spare me your bullshit, I don’t care what you have to say nor do I care what you think of me or my opinion, you are nothing more than a random nobody on an Internet forum just like me, people agree with what u say, people agree with what I say, that’s as simple as it gets here. Now, I’ve some Diablo 3 to be playing 👋

I personally dont have a problem with the state of D2 now, I enjoy it alot. I wasn't saying it was solely on the streamers, but IMO the "Influencers" do seem to have fair impact on things. D1 had alot of imbalance (personally it's whatever, its going to be hard balancing all the guns with random perks and armor interactions so I didn't mind). they constantly whined on stream and YouTube vids about it. D2 year 1 had small loot pool, small perks, more stream friendly UI (showing supers and such), switched the format of the game modes to 4v4 with more Objectives, seems pretty catered to their complaints. Atleast to me, maybe I'm looking too much into it
-
Absolutely true. Bungie we’re constantly chasing their tail trying to keep trials of Osiris balanced and every week the streamers kept complaining about the likes of being killed constantly by titans just running shoulder charge or solar stickies. These streamers couldn’t influence 6 vs 6 game modes so bungie made it easier by bringing in 4 vs 4. Game ended up a watered down joke of a sequel thanks to streamers crying but people find it easier to blame casuals 🤷♂️
-
Stream friendly ui? What? Everyone benefits from supers being displayed. If anything its less stream friendly as it takes away the stress of guessing and lowering the high stakes and unexpected moments. 4v4 with primaries coming off the end of forums constantly about lack of primary battles, not a exclusive to streamers. Again streamers can amplify issues however they arent the only ones complaining. Its easier to say hey i remember x streamer complaining x vs i remember this one forum post amongst hundreds complaining about a certain thing. Similar to it being easier to yell at cozmo or deej since they're more out there. Again, loot changes and perks gave more of a vibe to make the game more casual and appeal to a larger potential player base.
-
you know I agree with 90% of what you are saying, right? I only said they are "part" of the reason.
-
I mean sure, but i just get the vibe from various people that they feel that streamers are the primary or only reason changes occur. Speaking in general

Edited by Mox Voodoo: 12/8/2018 1:48:25 AMYea that I can see, but i don't really have a dog in the race when it comes to streamers. I'm mostly annoyed with the constant swinging door in sections of the community. "We want exotics to feel exotic" 3 weeks later "omg nerf", or "more endgame" 6 hours later "cant complete the forge day 1, quitting D2 refund". But to each their own I guess
