The extra power level was just a brief diversion while we waited for Forsaken. Everyone knew the light cap was getting raised.
The ship was for people who wanted to show their dedication, and was far more time consuming than getting one set of 400 gear. Now its reskinned into a Christmas ship, without any forewarning. That’s definitely something to gripe about.

Nobody cared about the extra power level. It didnt make anything in the game that much easier. But to not put the armor on because it's no longer relevant is much more of a reason to gripe then bungie skinning a ship that does nothing for a player in pve or pvp.

Edited by NYC_InfamousNick: 12/7/2018 2:53:36 PMThat’s like saying “because it’s cosmetic I doesn’t matter, only rewards that affect power should matter.” If you took away the emblem I got for soloing shattered throne, I would be real friggin angry. Same goes for the Solstice ship. People grinded hard for it and to have it be reskinned is a slap in the face. Also, you can still bring the armor up to year 2 values, you just can’t get armor perks on it. To say that it is irrelevant is incorrect because it’s the only armor that you can masterwork without using your own Masterwork cores. Also it looks kinda cool.

Edited by g_DAta2015: 12/7/2018 2:55:52 PMThey didnt take away your emblem. The ship is cosmetic, which is what they essentially did to the Solstice armor set. They made it cosmetic. It was useless less than a month after you get it. Edit... Also it did matter when they made the Solstice armor useless, but no one was complaining back then.
